Beauty Heroes April 2018 Subscription Box Review

Hello Subscription may earn compensation via links in this post. Read the full disclosure

Beauty Heroes is a monthly healthy beauty discovery subscription. Each box features one full-size product + sample items. The subscription costs $115 per quarter, and ships monthly. Beauty Heroes members with an active subscription receive an exclusive 15% discount on all the products in the Beauty Store.

April Beauty Discovery is De Mamiel.

The de Mamiel Collection is about more than just skincare – it is about our life’s energy. The products have been created using the ancient principles of Chinese medicine along with modern scientific research into how ingredients interact with our bodies. Each product is hand crafted and contains the purest natural and organic ingredients which have been carefully sourced for their unique potency. All of our blends are individually created to capture the energetic, skin nourishing properties of plants.

The box is filled with white squiggles!

The card features a photo of this month’s featured items from de Mamiel.

Every month, Beauty Heroes also sends a booklet loaded with information.

This month’s Hero item is De Mamiel Intense Nurture Antioxidant Elixir

…while the Sidekick item is De Mamiel Exhale Daily Hydrating Nectar.

Another page lists product ingredients, as well as a short history of De Mamiel, as well as a beauty ritual for incorporating these products in your regime.

Everything in the April 2018 Beauty Heroes box!

De Mamiel Exhale Daily Hydrating Nectar ($10.53) A concoction of antioxidants, raspberry seed oil, prickly pear seed oil, quercetin and tocopherol make up this hydrating cream. The formula aims to repair and protect the skin, then leave it with a healthy glow.

It’s light and breathable, plus it has a pleasant smell coming from essences of flowers. This product has a sheer tint, so it might not work for very dark or very light skintones. Mine is a light medium, so it worked for me. This product typically has an SPF30, but that version isn’t yet available in the US, so it would be great over a lightweight sunscreen! I would definitely like to try the SPF version, too!

De Mamiel Intense Nurture Antioxidant Elixir ($112.35) This serum is super rich in antioxidants! It has malachite, which was used by ancient civilizations to extract impurities and pollutants from the skin and body. Another key ingredient is the superoxide dismutase, a natural enzyme that boosts your skin’s oxygen intake and cell renewal process.

It comes in a very elegant box. On the side, there’s a brief description about the product and instructions on how to use it for best results.

You can use it in the morning and at night after cleansing. Two to three drops are enough to keep the skin smooth and refreshed.

Suitable for all skin types, the formula also contains a blend of rose, myrrh and vetiver essential oils that work to neutralize free radicals. Marine Samphire (or sea fennel) works to stimulate collagen production, too!

Aside from the usual Beauty Heroes booklet, there’s an information leaflet from the brand, which lets you know more about the products.

Suggested daily rituals are featured inside, as well as tips for use.

Remember to relax and take the time of this blissful ritual to be mindful and reconnect with your skin and with your senses.

This is one fantastic box, content-wise and value-wise. The retail value of the main item is almost the same as the subscription value of the box in a quarter, so it’s really amazing! The beauty sidekick is also a great plus. De Mamiel products are focused on the skin’s protection and giving it a youthful glow, so I find everything really useful. Beauty Heroes is a great way of discovering new beauty brands and getting your hands on existing beauty favorites! I can’t help but get excited whenever this box comes!

I will be trying this serum out later this week once my old serum is finished. I can’t wait to see how it works with my skin.
