Our December Beauteque BB Box theme is Just Glow With It! (it’s on the small sticker securing the tissue paper).

Tis the season to shine bright! Whether you’ve been naughty or nice this year, give yourself the gift of glow. Restore and replenish your skin’s natural radiance with this month’s assortment of complexion-boosting ingredients. Your skin will thank you!

The information card is now digital. You can access product information and basic how-to-use directions by logging into your account, scanning the QR code, or visiting www.beautequemonthly.com/portal. The prices listed below are those of Beauteque, unless otherwise noted.

Here’s the December Beauteque BB box. Let’s get glowing!

Elizavecca | CF-Nest 97% B-Jo Serum ($14.99): This serum is made with 97% swiftlet nest extract. According to Chinese medicine, swiftlet nest is said to rejuvenate skin and clear up complexion. Place a few drops on skin after cleansing and before moisturizing. This absorbs quickly and has a very light scent. I noticed that my moisturizer goes on a little better after using this serum. Some subscribers received Elizavecca’s Hell Pore Control Hyaluronic Acid as an alternate.

Aritaum | Real Ampoule Color Corrector – Peach Beige ($8.99): Color correctors help to neutralize discoloration for a flawless foundation. The peach beige tone is used for under eye circles and dark spots. To use, press the rear tip to pump product into the brush tip and apply. Subscribers received one of three colors – peach beige, mint beige (reduce redness), or purple beige (cancels yellow tones).

Botanic Farm | Grain Ferment Cleansing Water ($20.00): This is listed at $14.99 on Beauteque.com. This cleansing water contains three kinds of grain ferment – rice, rice bran (yeast), and lactobaccillus (soybean ferment extract). This formula does a really good job of dissolving and removing my makeup. I like to use it for quick touch ups/clean ups; spray a little on a swab and erase stray makeup (or eyeliner in my case).

CosRx | Clear Fit Master Patch ($5.99): If you’ve read my other Beauteque reviews, you’ve seen CosRx’s Pimple Patches come in a few boxes. The Clear Fit Master Patch has all of the same fluid absorbing properties but in a thinner material to make it invisible under makeup. Although these are thinner, I felt that they were still a little visible under my makeup.

Look At Me | Charcoal Facial Cleansing Wipes ($5.99): I can always use cleansing wipes, and these small packs are great for when I travel. This wipe does double duty. The charcoal draws out impurities while Vitamin E moisturizes skin. These are listed for $5 on Beauteque.com.

MJ Care | Foot Care Pack ($5.99): This is a moisturizing foot care pack. It contains snail secretion, shea butter, and argan oil to moisturize feet. It also contains lemon extract to soften calluses. I think this will come in handy between foot peel uses to keep my feet soft.

December’s Beauteque BB Bag had a listed value of $62, but the actual value (based on site prices) is $56. That is still more than twice the cost of a single box. While the cleansing water is my favorite item from this month’s box, I will be using everything I received and am happy about that!

On a side note: Before trying any Asian cosmetic subscription, expect that most information on the package will be in the native language. That said, more and more brands are including directions/ingredients in English, and information can also be found in English on the majority of brands’ websites (you may have to choose a brand’s global or US site). Secondly, a large number of products focus on brightening or whitening the skin. As a person of color, I have not seen my skin color change. Instead, I’ve experienced that my skin tone gets evened out after prolonged use. However, your results may be different. And lastly, many products contain ingredients which are animal-derived, so these may not be an option if you are vegan. You can also check out cosDNA.com to see if the ingredients for the product are listed there.
