I was pretty happy with my first look!

I received a card with the featured city for February – San Francisco!

The back of the card listed the items along with a brief description. All items in this subscription will be vegan.

Everything in my box!

Hey Boo Coconut Caramels In Sea Salt ($8) Traditional caramel is usually made with butter and cream, two very un-vegan items. These ones are made with coconut milk and coconut oil so no need to fret.

I received a baker’s dozen in the bag and they are very coconutty and salty and yummy.

Nana Joes Orange Spiced Nuts ($5) I love mixed nuts and although I could probably make spiced nuts on my own I’m way too lazy for that but that’s ok because here are some in this awesome box!

All organic ingredients are in this bag, with a nice assortment of cashews, almonds, walnuts, and pecans.

I didn’t pick up much orange flavor but that’s ok, I really enjoyed the spicy chili powder and touch of sea salt. So good! Plus, I rarely find walnuts in nut blends so that was a welcome surprise.

676 Candles Co. San Francisco Iconic Haight and Ashbury ($5) I have always thought that if I grew up during the 60’s I would probably have been a hippie. I grew up in California and tend to be laid-back and relaxed.

I was a little worried about the sandalwood scent that I caught before I lit this candle, but once it was burning it was sweet, spicy, and warm. And, of course, mellow, as any hippie might be. The notes include absinthe, mint, eucalyptus, sandalwood, and my favorite, patchouli.

Timeless Coffee Roasters Peru Puno Aprocafe #2 ($18.99 for one bag a month subscription) I found a whole bag of whole bean coffee in my box! Timeless Coffee Roasters has a vegan coffee shop/bakery and even has their own monthly subscription box. I don’t drink coffee unless it’s been Starbuxed to death but this sure smells lovely. It has notes of amaretto and cacao.

My husband drinks coffee but we don’t have a coffee grinder so this will have to wait until I either buy a coffee grinder or find a friend who will grind it for me.

Etta + Billie Horchata Soap ($14) Etta + Billie’s goal is to make soap and other body products that remind you of your favorite food or beverage. I couldn’t find this particular scent on their site but there are similar scents available.

The ingredients are all-natural and this particular fragrance is inspired by horchata, a creamy drink made from rice and spices and frequently found in Mexican restaurants, especially in California.

See those black dots? Those are kiwi seeds! They gently exfoliate the skin without plastic microbeads. This was a wonderful soap – it was soapy and rinsed away easily. I’ve never had a horchata, I’m more of a jamaica drinker myself, but this smelled similar to a chai latte and I loved it.

Miyoko’s Kitchen Cheese Knife & Coupon ($4?) I couldn’t find this exact cheese knife but similar ones can be found on Amazon. There was a coupon to save $1 on Miyoko’s Kitchen Vegan products, such as cheese, butter, or (coming soon) cream cheese. This brand is available at Whole Foods and natural food grocers.

This was my first VegOut City Box and I was extremely impressed with the quality and assortment of items in my San Francisco box! There were treats, coffee (not my favorite but still), a body care item, and a candle. That’s a pretty good collection of items and perfect for men or women to enjoy. My products had a value of around $55, which is more than the price paid for the box. I like that subscribers get to try vegan products from all over the place each month and I can’t wait to see where VegOut City Box goes next month!
