Every month Target launches non-subscription Target Beauty Boxes.  Depending on the contents, they are themed and cost $5-10, and sell out quickly! The March Target Beauty Box was $7.

This box is sold out but the Define & Shine Box is available!

This box’s theme is Hello Spring!

There’s also a $3 off on Beauty purchase of $15. The coupon is no longer perforated, which I found mildly annoying.

Everything in the box!

Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Quad In Walking On Eggshells ($2.99) This eyeshadow palette had nice pigment for cheap makeup, but tons of fallout and basically zero lasting power.

A good choice for experimenting with how to apply it, but I wouldn’t recommend the palette.

The shades are light and neutral, and three of them are shimmery.

Here are the eyeshadow swatches!

Clairol Color Crave Hair Makeup In Brilliant Ruby ($6.99) Providing instant and temporary hair color, this hair makeup was formulated without ammonia, peroxide, and parabens. I received it in Brilliant Ruby, which is a rich ruby red color. It’s quite easy to use, you just have to squeeze the tube on a sponge applicator and swipe onto dry hair strands. I didn’t really get results from this (it wanted me to blow dry it in, and I decided I wasn’t 15 and didn’t want pillarbox red hair). I would have tried harder had I received it in purple!

Olay Cleansing Infusions Body Wash ($0.42) This body wash with a microscrubbing formula helps remove impurities while providing hydration for naturally glowing skin. It has a creamy lather that left my skin with a soft and smooth feeling. The crushed ginger gave it an pleasant scent, but it was not overpowering.

No7 Early Defense Glow Activating Serum ($3.99) Packed with ginseng and vitamin C, this serum boosts skin renewal and promotes clearer and refined pores for a glowing complexion. It also supports your skin’s natural defenses and neutralizes damaging free radicals. The formula is lightweight, which is great if you’re wearing it under makeup. I liked the semi-matte texture of this one. Thought it was a nice little product!

St Ives Collagen Elastin Moisturizer ($0.46) A moisturizer powered by collagen and elastin proteins, aiming to renew your skin’s glow. It also contains safflower seed oil that works to boost moisture. The formula is fast absorbing and it doesn’t leave a sticky residue. A little goes a long way, and it can be used whether in the morning or at night. Since Target has sent out moisturizers in the regular box with parabens in the past, I was happy to see that this one is paraben free.

Pantene Foam Conditioner ($1.40) Traditional conditioners tend to weigh down the hair, but this one doesn’t because it has an air-light formula infused with microbubbles to boost strands. You’ll only need a palm-sized amount of the conditioner, and then massage it from the roots all the way to tips. It smells great and works best with fine hair.

Nexxus Dry Shampoo ($2.71) Enriched with pearl extract, this dry shampoo refreshes hair without water and gives it the volume it needs. The formula is lightweight, and its refreshing scent includes jasmine and water lily. It’s ideal even for those who have colored hair – but you still have to be careful (I sprayed my kiddo’s hair and it turned white – I think I wasn’t far enough.

Getting samples for $7 is such an awesome thing. However, it’s also good to note that some of the items in this box are Walmart Beauty Box duplicate items – the body wash and the foam conditioner. The item with the highest retail value is a temporary hair color that isn’t really something I need, but at least I got a lovely moisturizer and a dry shampoo. The box’s retail value was about $19. Hopefully, the curation gets better next month and I’m hoping for new items that I can use for spring.
