Here’s my February 2018 – Valentine’s Day Edition SinglesSwag box! I see some pampering coming on.

The information card contains a brief description of each item and its value. This month’s quote is, “loving yourself isn’t selfish, it’s necessary.” Remember the old adage, you can’t love someone else until you learn to love yourself.

It’s been a while since my last box, and it looks like there’s been an upgrade to branded tissue paper as part of the packing materials.

Spongellé | Heart On A String Infused Buffer ($18): I’ve gotten Spongellé products before and love the convenience they provide. This is a dual textured sponge infused with shower gel that is good for at least 14 uses before all of the soapy goodness is gone. BUT, even after the shower gel is used up, you still have a soft bath sponge to wash and exfoliate with.

How cute is that sponge! The shower gel in this Spongellé has mid notes of freesia and rose – two of my least favorite scents. However, they are subtle and I get more of the top notes of tangerine, orange, and pink pepper coming through. I like the bottom notes of musk and vanilla too.

The white side of the sponge has a rougher texture for exfoliating and polishing the skin. The pink underside is soft and perfect for regular bathing.

Beautaniq Beauty | Radiant Glow 5-pc. Mask Set ($30): This set is listed at $25 on Beautaniq Beauty’s website.  I’m going to assume that SingeleSwag accounted for the shipping charge, which is why their price is a little higher. This box contains 5 sheet masks designed to brighten and renew dull, tired skin.

Here are some key ingredients in these masks: Papaya Leaf Extract (toning and exfoliation), Lemon Extract (antioxidant and brightening), Niacinamide (improves elasticity and hydration), Kiwi Extract (brightening and improves elasticity), Tomato Extract (antioxidant), and Strawberry Extract (reduces dark spots and protects collagen).

Bang Beauty | Dolce Pink Cream ($22): I’m glad that my information card had details on this product because Bang Beauty doesn’t give any information or tips. This is a multi-use cream that provides a touch of color and shimmer for a healthy looking glow. It can be used as a base-layer, blush, or highlighter on the eyes, lips, and cheeks. The cream foundation goes on very light and builds nicely for a deeper tone.

The Beauty Crop | Lovable Nudes 4-pc. Liquid Lipstick Set ($25): This is a set of four highly pigmented mini liquid lipsticks designed to provide nearly everyone with their perfect nude shade. The color has a matte finish and is long-wearing. Shea butter and Vitamin E make this a moisturizing formula as well. My favorite shade was Cake Pop; now to find a full sized tube of this…

The top 4 swatches are of the nude liquid lipsticks. The bottom is a swatch of Bang Beauty’s Dolce Pink Cream.

Hannah Max Cookie Chips – Chocolate Chip ($6): Made with real ingredients to give that homemade taste, these are thin chip versions of the classic chocolate chip cookie. They are crispy and oh so yummy! Lots of buttery goodness coming through and not too much guilt for indulging in the 7 cookie serving. These can be found on Amazon for $4.56 (lower if you opt for Subscribe & Save).

Executive Society | Control Bracelet – Rose Gold ($68): This is currently available for $44.99 at www.executivesociety.com (search keyword Control). Anyway, this bracelet has rose gold plated stainless steel beads on an adjustable waxed rope cord. I love the minimalist look of this piece and it is great alone or stacked with other bracelets. Personally, I like adjustable bracelets like this because I have a large wrist and can’t wear bangles. Executive Society also included a 30% discount on your next purchase.

Here’s a closer look at the bracelet on me.

How to Sew A Button And Other Nifty Things Your Grandmother Knew by Erin Bried ($16): This book has a lot of good tips to help you with daily tasks and living in general. It’s a quick and information filled read. It is currently on sale at Amazon for $12.99.

“Waste not, want not” with this guide to saving money, taking heart, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.

Nowadays, many of us “outsource” basic tasks. Food is instant, ready-made, and processed with unhealthy additives. Dry cleaners press shirts, delivery guys bring pizza, gardeners tend flowers, and, yes, tailors sew on those pesky buttons. But life can be much simpler, sweeter, and richer–and a lot more fun, too! As your grandmother might say, now is not the time to be careless with your money, and it actually pays to learn how to do things yourself!

Practical and empowering, How to Sew a Button collects the treasured wisdom of nanas, bubbies, and grandmas from all across the country–as well as modern-day experts–and shares more than one hundred step-by-step essential tips for cooking, cleaning, gardening, and entertaining, including how to

• polish your image by shining your own shoes
• grow your own vegetables (and stash your bounty for the winter)
• sweeten your day by making your own jam
• use baking soda and vinegar to clean your house without toxic chemicals
• feel beautiful by perfecting your posture
• roll your own piecrust and find a slice of heaven
• fold a fitted sheet to crisp perfection
• waltz without stepping on any toes

Complete with helpful illustrations and brimming with nostalgic charm, How to Sew a Button provides calm and comfort in uncertain times. By doing things yourself, with care and attention, you and your loved ones will feel the pleasing rewards of a job well done.

The February SinglesSwag box has a listed value of $185. However with sales that I found, my value for this box is around $153, with the biggest variance being the Executive Society bracelet. Regardless, that is still almost 4x the cost of a single month’s box – so, still a win for me!  Honestly, I really liked everything in the February box and can’t pick a favorite. Wait, I take that back… the Cake Pop lipstick was my fave, but only because I have searched everywhere for a nude lip color and that one hit the nail on the head. Plus, what a great monthly box if you’re searching for something to replace your monthly POPSUGAR Must Have Box!
