Play! by Sephora is a monthly subscription box that brings only the best and exclusive Sephora beauty and makeup samples. The subscription costs $10 per month, and you’ll get 5 deluxe beauty products, playlists,  a fragrance bonus item, plus coupons you can use when you visit in-store.

I just love the black and white sticker on this box. Every time I open it, I think it’s such a classy touch.

Your subscription also entitles you to PLAY! Date meetups if your store participates. I don’t even have a Sephora (not even a JCP one) but this box totally excites me even without those experiences. I love the high-end brands every month for just $10.

That little card is a PLAY! Pass that will get you 50 extra Beauty Insider points with a purchase from the box, in-store only. You can also get a complimentary mini makeover!

The theme is Festival Of Beauty!

This fold-out poster shows a list of all the items included in this box plus beauty trivia and tips. You can access all of the information and also watch the videos right on the Sephora site or use the app to scan the sheet for more info!

All the items in the box are kept in a pouch with the theme printed on it. I love the different festival vibe look for this month!

Everything in my box! See the spoilers for all the variations here. This is box #677.

Marajo Hair Care Nourishing Cleansing Cream ($0.81) Formulated with pracaxi oil from Brazil, this cream removes dirt and nourishes your hair to make it bouncy and full. It also helps deal with flyaways, as it cleanses and hydrates each strand.

Marajo Hair Care Deep Treatment Butter ($1.31) To accompany the hair cream is this treatment butter that includes botanical oils for smooth, healthy-looking hair. Like the cleansing creme, it also contains pracaxi oil with emollients to help add moisture to dry hair. It also helps keep the hair moisturized, hydrated, soft and full of volume.

Both products are lightweight and non-greasy, so it doesn’t weigh your hair down. To use the creme, just massage it into wet hair, lather, and rinse thoroughly. Afterwards, you can apply a quarter-sized amount of the butter, concentrating on the ends. Leave on for two to three minutes, then rinse well.

Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara ($16.87) This mascara gives your lashes a little drama with just a single coat. It has intense black pigments, yet it doesn’t clump nor flake.

It has a creamy, gliding formula and deep, intense color. It comes with a brush that evenly coats lashes from root to tip. I didn’t turn the brush the right way in this pic – it has a bit of an S shape to it, which helps apply the mascara. It’s a great mascara & brush combo!

Briogeo Blossom and Bloom Volumizing Spray ($3) Great for adding volume to the hair, this volumizing spray contains clarifying agents that soak up oil and thicken each hair strand. It’s a scalp-safe alternative for dry shampoo. Ingredients also include plant-derived ingredients like lemon and ginseng. The smell is amazing! I liked this spray because it’s focused on adding volume, not texturizing!

Dr. Jart+ BB Beauty Balm ($4.87) This multi-purpose balm with SPF 45 protects skin from the harmful rays of the sun as it conceals and beautifies. The formula is silky, which applies evenly with a natural-looking coverage that minimizes the appearance of imperfections. Ingredients include antioxidant bio-peptides and adenosine that protects skin from harsh environmental factors and restores firmness and elasticity. It’s lightweight, so it works great as a light foundation.

Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick In Bohemian Purple ($3.64) It’s a pretty lip stain in Bohemian Purple. It has a creamy texture with a muted purple color.

It leaves a long-lasting matte finish. The cream lip stain contains vitamin E and avocado oil which keeps the lips nourished and hydrated.

It fully covers the lips with its doe foot applicator. I love how it’s richly pigmented and lasts long, so there’s no need to reapply or touch up throughout the day. This festival-ready color will get you out of your comfort zone!

Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil In Flirting Game ($4) This shimmery taupe eye pencil gives a grayish color with a tinge of brown, and a little bit of sheen!

Other variations of this eye pencil can be found at the back of the packaging.

I am happy with the fact that it’s waterproof and long-wearing. The silky formula enhances and enlivens my eyes. It’s also heat and humidity resistant!

Here are the swatches of the eye pencil, lip stain, and beauty balm. Loved how the taupe pencil coordinates with the purple lippie!

It’s another impressive bunch of beauty items from Sephora! I love the lip stain’s bold color, as well as the eye pencil that lasts long and doesn’t smudge. The lash mascara is wonderful too. The retail value is about $25 and I’m happy to get everything for $10, but the value was quite a bit lower than previous months, owing to two Sephora products in the box. The samples were really small compared to some of the other beauty boxes this month but I enjoyed what amounted to pretty much a complete look in one bag!
