Owl Crate is a monthly subscription of books and bookish items. Each OwlCrate contains one new Young Adult novel, as well as 3-5 other bookish items all matched to the monthly theme. I love finding new authors and new companies that Owl Crate uses to curate and send a perfectly themed box. Everything is always so spot on and I love them all.

March’s OwlCrate theme is Across the Galaxy. OwlCrate always has the best info card prints. One side is a print representing the theme and the other side is the information for the box contents.

The information card tells a little bit about all the items in this month’s box along with little comments on why they were selected or other fun tidbits. The theme follows through even with the info. It is always decorated to go along with that month.

Everything in my March Across the Galaxy OwlCrate box.

The Informational booklet has become a staple in the boxes.

We get interviews with the author and some of the suppliers of the extra items, a sneak peek of the next OwlCrate and a comparison of the exclusive cover versus the regular cover.

The book comes in a plastic bag each month and the exclusive cover sticker is on the outside of the bag.

I take the sticker off the bag and place it on the inside sleeve of the jacket. This way I will always know why the book looks different then what I can see online if I was to go to look.

Heart of Iron by Ashley Poston ($12.32) – I blew through the Lunar Chronicles Books last summer and with this one bringing to mind that series and then referencing Firefly I’m not sure OwlCrate could have picked a better book this month. I can’t wait to dig in and see what spacey adventure awaits!

An action-packed tale full of romance, royalty, and adventure, inspired by the story of Anastasia. Perfect for fans of Six of Crows, Cinder, and the cult classic television show Firefly.

Seventeen-year-old Ana is a scoundrel by nurture and an outlaw by nature. Found as a child drifting through space with a sentient android called D09, Ana was saved by a fearsome space captain and the grizzled crew she now calls family. But D09—one of the last remaining illegal Metals—has been glitching, and Ana will stop at nothing to find a way to fix him.

Ana’s desperate effort to save D09 leads her on a quest to steal the coordinates to a lost ship that could offer all the answers. But at the last moment, a spoiled Ironblood boy beats Ana to her prize. He has his own reasons for taking the coordinates, and he doesn’t care what he’ll sacrifice to keep them.

When everything goes wrong, she and the Ironblood end up as fugitives on the run. Now their entire kingdom is after them—and the coordinates—and not everyone wants them captured alive.

What they find in a lost corner of the universe will change all their lives—and unearth dangerous secrets. But when a darkness from Ana’s past returns, she must face an impossible choice: does she protect a kingdom that wants her dead or save the Metal boy she loves?

The book also came with a note from the author.

Did you notice I again didn’t include a signed bookplate in my extras this month? That is because OwlCrate is now sending autographed books! While they aren’t saying it will be this way every month we have gotten them the last couple of months.

Check out the edges of the pages on the  book! The staining is amazing and even more stunning in person.

We even got a character posted to go with everyone in the book this month.

Kady Grant candle from Wick  Fable – A candle inspired by the heroine of The Illuminae Files Kady Grant with the scent of Blood Orange and some fun glitter included. While I’ve never read that series it also reminds me of Clary from The Mortal Instruments books. I’m more of a TV show girl for that one but it was who I first thought of when I saw the candle.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 Pint Size Heroes ($2.68) – What a great inclusion with a galaxy themed box. While I know the guardians are from comic books I think most people know them from the movies and with the new Avengers: Infinity Wars kicking off soon it is very timely. I love these movies and can’t wait for anything with The GotG gang in it.

We got Mantis! I couldn’t me more excited since she is pretty awesome and not a character I have anything from already.

Star Wars bookmark by Lexy Olivia – A classic line that I’m pretty sure everyone knows and is gorgeous on this hand-painted watercolored bookmark.

Pin – Each month we also get a pin from OwlCrate that represents that months theme.

Galaxy Print Infinity Scarf – A gorgeous infinity scarf in my favorite color Purple! This galaxy print scarf looks fantastic wrapped around and ready to go. It is really large and layers wonderfully around my neck.

While it looks fantastic layered up you can really see the detail in the galaxy print when it is all laid out.

Lunar Chronicles Inspired Mug by Sasha Natasha – I said above that I devoured the Lunar Chronicles and  this mug is a great inspiration however it goes for every story really. It also holds a spot in my Disney loving heart since who doesn’t love to start everything with Once Upon a Time?

What do you think of this month’s out of this world Owl Crate box? This was the perfect theme and box for me. From the spaciness of it all to the color theme of purple through out they really couldn’t have been any more me if they tried. I can’t wait to dive into this book and see where in the universe it takes us. They really had me when they brought up Firefly but the whole story sounds fantastic.
