There was info on how you can earn points for reviewing your snacks and then redeem your rewards points for more snacks. If you want to know more about the snacks in your box then you can go to the website and see which snacks are gluten-free, kosher, vegan, etc. You can find this month’s info here.
There were a few handouts this month with info on some of the products and even a couple of coupons and discount codes.
Everything in my box! I love to grab a snack from the box and stick it in my tote without a second thought. No Ziplocs needed and I don’t have to worry about change for the vending machine.
Jollyoak Crunchers in Oatmeal Cookie ($1.25) I liked the sound of this crunchy mix made with kamut, a type of ancient grain. Next to them in this picture are Angel Mints which are soft mints that melt on the tongue.
The flavor for the Crunchers was kind of bland, which isn’t too bad in itself, but the texture was just too hard. I was afraid I would break a tooth. I had to let it melt in my mouth before I could chew it up and swallow.
Laiki Black Rice Crackers ($1.47) Wow, this is new! A cracker made with black rice, oil, and salt and that’s it. I couldn’t wait to see what it looked like!
Here it is! It didn’t taste like a classic rice cracker, but more like a Bugle. Kind of fried and salty and not much going on but still tasty and crunchy.
Pop Chips Nutter Puffs in Peanut Butter (70¢) This is why I like Love With Food – I could only find this on Amazon as a case of 72 bags. I liked it but I don’t want 72 bags of anything!
They are kind of like the peanut butter version of Cheetos! Also, they have only 3 ingredients – peanut butter, corn, and peanut flour. I expected them to be sweet but I barely got a chance to try them before my daughter whisked them away. She must have really liked them because the second bag is nowhere to be found!
Shiela G’s Brownie Brittle in Salted Caramel ($1.17) Do you like the crisp edges that you can find in a pan of brownies? If so, this may be the snack for you!
These bites are very crisp and have a bit of chewy salted caramel pieces on top. My daughter loves crispy brownies so these went to her.
Prince of Peace Ginger Chews with Lemon ($4.56) Wow, a whole bag of ginger chews! I’ve tried the ginger ones before but they were too strong so I was wondering how these lemony ones would taste.
Each candy is individually wrapped so you can carry it with you on the go. The flavor was very good and didn’t burn my throat. I liked them!
Tree Top Apple Sauce ($2.79) I feel like these would be cheaper at my grocery store. My daughter promptly placed it in the fridge and then had it as a snack. It is classic unsweetened applesauce but in a convenient pouch.
Here’s the strawberry bites but the acai blueberry looked the same. The main ingredient was apple purée with some other fruits added and some sneaky items like mushroom, beet, and broccoli. They tasted like fruit chews and my daughter had no idea they had stuff from her “do not eat under any circumstance whatsoever” list.
Laughing Giraffe Organics Lemon Snakaroons (45¢ each) I probably should have shared one of these with my daughter since she loves lemon.
Coconut, cardamom, lemon oil, and salt are some of the all-natural ingredients. It was chewy and lemony and a little drier than a traditional macaroon. Very yummy.
I love getting my monthly assortment of snacks from Love With Food! I have tried so many snacks in the past year thanks to this subscription and have added lots of new favorites to my rotation. The thing I like best about Love With Food is that I don’t have to buy 50 bags, or even 10 bags, of a snack I might not like. I can try it here first and then decide if I need a bunch of them later. I love having snacks ready to grab and go without having to look for plastic bags or worrying about them becoming stale. Some of these items go directly to my daughter so it is family friendly. Also, the variety was nice – sweet, salty, chewy, crunchy, yummy!
