ElleBox is a monthly Canadian period and time of the month subscription box. In every box you’ll receive pads and tampons along with hand curated comfort goods selected with ethics, wellness and community in mind. A portion of the proceeds support locals women’s initiatives in Vancouver.

The box has changed since we last reviewed it, now containing only exclusively organic products! You can still customize your box, including whether it’s just the Necessities or the Comfort box with extra goodies. You can also choose whether you want pads, tampons, or both — and on top of that you can even customize absorbency if you choose tampons. The box ships on the 15th of the month.

Here’s the “necessities” part of the box, 10 tampons. Natracare is the organic feminine products company here in Canada! I see their products in the drugstore but always passed them by due to my indifference to cardboard applicators.

I was so excited to receive products from Vancouver skincare line Midnight Paloma in my box! I’ve followed them on Instagram for ages and have always wanted to try their products. Their products feature charcoal as the main ingredient, which is purifying and detoxifying.

Trial Trio ($20) — Small sizes of the charcoal and blood orange body wash, charcoal and aloe body lotion, and charcoal and grapefruit bath salts. They all smell amazing.

Charcoal and Rose Detox Mask ($22) — A wonderful mask you can mix with water, honey, or yogurt depending on your skin’s needs.

And lastly, the edibles! A generous bag of Peach Passion by Tea Sparrow, who have their own subscription box, and a delicious sea salt and almond chocolate bar by Truffle Pig. Both are local Canadian companies.

The set shipping schedule of this box means it was a bit too late for my cycle, but I still enjoyed unboxing everything. I am well-stocked for my next period. Ellebox definitely would make things a bit less painful come that time of the month!
