Doki Doki is a monthly kawaii subscription box from Japan Crate. Every month, you’ll receive super cute Japanese items – accessories, stationery, plushies, and other adorable Japanese goodies.
February 2018 theme is VALENTINE’S DAY.
DEAL: Use coupon code HELLO to save $3 on your first box!
The cover art this month is so kawaii!
The card also has a fun comic strip!
There’s also a reminder to share photos on social media using #DokiDokiCrate for a chance to be featured in next month’s issue. Looks like there’s no more mini mag, and they’ve really gone with a bi-fold insert.
February is a love filled month, especially because of Valentine’s Day. This month we carefully crafted a crate with cute and lovely items sure to warm your heart. The theme, “Made with Love”, signifies our own sentiments to give all our beloved subscribers a gift straight from our hearts.
The info sheet includes photos of the items, plus a brief description of each.
Everything in the February 2018 box!
Mochi Plush. Subscribers will receive either Koro Koro Panda or Marupyon Bunny. We got the latter!
I think I have an obsession with bunny tails, and this is not an exception! It’s so adorable!
The bunny is so colorful, each ear has different colors!
“Maru” means round, perfect for its round and squishy bodice. “Pyon” is a sound effect for the bunny’s favorite thing to do, which is to hop.
Pokemon Ecobag. This Pokemon eco bag is not only cute, but convenient and portable too – it folds right up into its own carry pouch. Even better, they include complete folding instructions.
My bag is pink, featuring the super cute Bewear. Other bag variations are Pikachu, Mimikyu, and Rowlett.
You can stash it inside another bag and just bring it out when needed. Love this, it’s perfect – and it’s super sturdy too!
Pig Rice Bowl. The rice bowl was packaged in a protective box.
It features an illustration of a cute pig and the phrase “Itadakimasu” which is said by Japanese people before eating. It’s equivalent to saying let’s eat.
Not sure what’s written at the bottom, I think it’s a Japanglish word… Anyway, when you’re not using this bowl for hot meals, it’ll also look cute as a bowl for treats like chocolates and candies.
Hello Kitty Chocolate Mold. Speaking of chocolates… Who doesn’t love Hello Kitty? We’re excited to use this chocolate mold featuring our favorite kawaii cat!
We can make a cute little house and a Hello Kitty figure out of these molds!
The instructions are in Japanese, but the accompanying illustrations are pretty easy to understand.
The packaging is really cute, it even gives you an idea on what your finished product will look like.
There are also four small heart molds. So cute!
Little Twin Stars Chocolate Box. In case you’re planning to give out the chocolates you’ll be making using the Hello Kitty chocolate mold, this is the perfect box to use for gifting. It features Lala and Kiki, the Little Twin Stars.
You can also keep it if you want, there are lots of other stuff you can put inside this kawaii box!
Doki Doki Crate never fails to make me smile. All the kawaii items they send are licensed and high-quality, and most of them have practical uses too. Sanrio characters also often make an appearance in this subscription box. This month, I got a Hello Kitty mold and a Little Twin Stars box and I’m just happy that I can add new items to my Sanrio collection. This month’s box is Valentine’s themed, but nothing in particular really felt like it was for the season. I mean, I’d love to receive any of these no matter what time of the year! Overall, I think this is a great subscription for any Japan fan or for anyone who simply loves collecting cute stuff.
