Cairn is a monthly subscription box for those who love spending time in the outdoors. Each month, you can expect to receive 3-6 cool products that will help you enjoy your time in the outdoors even more. Subscriptions cost $29.99 each month, but the cost goes down with longer subscriptions. Shipping is free for US subscribers and $5 to Canada.

Cairn promises that the total retail value of the items in each box will exceed $50, with a mix of gear, apparel, food, skin care, and emergency tools. If you complete the subscriber profile, the box will be curated to best match your outdoor lifestyle. As such, most months will see a variation of boxes, while there may be some months when everyone will get the same thing.

Every month, two lucky subscribers get a little something special in their box. All you need to do is to be an active subscriber to the monthly box, nothing else!

Thermacell Radius ($44) You know that friend who always seemed to get bitten by the single mosquito in the area? I’m that person. I can’t step outside the house from April until September without turning into a mosquito feast. So yeah, I’m so excited to get this Mosquito Repellent. Maybe I’ll be able to enjoy a glass of wine by the pool at night with our guest without yelling at the mosquitoes to give me a break! With the press of the button, I should be free!

It’s rechargeable and comes with a 12-hour refill insect repellent (each of the refill cartridge are $20). It is suppose to give a 110 square foot mosquito-free area. I can’t try it right now (it’s way too cold), but I’m looking forward to relaxing nights spent outside!

Bobo’s Lemon Poppyseed Oat Bar. A delicious baked gluten-free oat bar with a nice subtle lemon flavor. It’s soft, slightly sweet and not too sticky. I really like it!

Gear Up, Give Back. This is not a third item in the box, but a kit to do our part in the preservation of wild places through The Conservation Alliance. Just fill up the bag (the bag is big!!!) with retired outdoor gear and clothes (clean and gently used, or in need of easy repair) and send it up! The label is ready and on the bag, so no excuses to do your part. The items will then be sold and the proceed going to the preservation of wild places! Easy!

I’m really excited to try the mosquito repellent come Spring! I’m also very happy to get the Gear Up Give Back kit as it is an easy way to clean up the closets while helping a good cause!

It doesnt matter what anyone thinks of the box they are not likely to receive that product. Even if it fit their profile.
