BeadCrate is a monthly subscription box for bead enthusiasts. Every month, you’ll receive a curated collection of beads, findings, and other goodies to enhance your beading creations! There are two box sizes – Enthusiast ($15.99 + $5 Shipping) and Collector ($35 with free shipping) to choose from.

This is the Enthusiast Crate!

We also have a curator’s note explaining the theme. This month’s theme is Winter Blues! You can share your creation on their social media (Instagram or Facebook, don’t forget to tag them!) for a chance to get a little surprise in next month’s box.

The crate comes with a chart that tells you exactly what you’re getting.

The beads always come neatly packaged inside individual well-labelled plastic bags inside a cute organza bag.

14mm Satin-Metallic Blue Cushion Rounds. They can be used as central pieces in a beaded design, or for dangles. I like to hang them under a cluster of smaller faceted beads.

4mm Caribbean Blue Druk Mix. I like these beads as they have no sharp edges so they are nice with thread. They were my main inspiration for this month’s project. They are quite small, but they reminded me of the beach.

10x8mm Soft Blue AB Pinched Diamond. They have a nice twisted look that would make lovely chain links by themselves, or earring dangles.

6mm Light Sapphire rounds. I find them to big to use with thread, but they look great with metal with small spacer beads.

6mm Sapphire Smooth Disks Rondelles. Because they are quite flat, I like to stack three or four on a eyepin to make links or dangles.

6mm Light Sapphire Dime Beads. I like how they would lay flat on a dainty bracelet!

20x28mm Quest Antique Gold Moon. Super cute little charm that would be nice with all the blue beads to remind us how a Blue Moon! Maybe paired with the cushion beads?

15x15mm Crystal/Blue/White Heart Window Beads. All I can think of is a pair of fun earrings!

8/0 Toho Transparent AB Light Sapphire. Every month we receive a type of seed beads. They would be great to create a beaded design with the cushion beads.

3mm Saturated Metallic Navy Peony Firepolish. I love love them! I really wanted to use them this month, which I did! They are quite small, and they are perfect for threaded design, if you are careful with the sharper edges.

4mm Aquamarine Faceted rounds Same as for the 3mm metallic firepolish, I really wanted to incorporate them in this month’s design. I like firepolish, they add sparks!

Needle Threader with cutter.

We usually some kind of goodie or tool every month to help us create. This is perfect for any beader, especially those like me who struggle way too much to thread the thread in the needle! It actually inspired me for this month’s design!

I made a wrapped bracelet! I love making them, and with the needle threader, it was easy to work with the needle. I used the druk mix with both firepolish beads on a turquoise cotton cord for a beach look. Yeah, the Winter Blues hit hard this year and I want some heat and summer!

I love blue, so this box might be one of my favorite just for the color. I really like the cushion beads and I like the variety of beads we get every month. There’s a bit for any kind of jewelry maker!
