November’s SnackFever theme is Your Idol’s Favorite… This month, subscribers are getting a box filled with K-Pop stars’ favorite snacks. Hmm, which oppa is that supposed to be on the cover? I love that snacks are universal and something that we can all share, regardless of fame. And, don’t forget to practice your Korean with Eggbun’s lessons. November is focused on animals.

The printed product information sheet is back!!! See what’s in each of the different SnackFever boxes for the month, along with a description of each.

I still am amazed by how much comes in each box. Here’s the full contents for November’s Deluxe box. To see all of our SnackFever reviews (Brandy covers the Original box review), click here.

I hit the Pepero jackpot! This month, there were not 1 or 2, but 3 different versions of this tasty treat. Pepero is so popular in Korea that it even has its own holiday! On November 11th, show your affection for loved ones by giving them a box of Pepero. BTW, did you catch the significance of the date? 11/11 – the numbers look like a line of Pepero sticks.

Lotte | Pepero – Vanilla Black Cookie: Think cookies and cream. The Pepero stick is covered in a layer of white chocolate with lots of chocolate sandwich cookie crumbles mixed in.

Lotte | Pepero – Almond Chocolate: These were my favorite of the 3 versions in this month’s box. The Pepero sticks are coated in a generous layer of chocolate with pieces of crushed almonds throughout. So good!

Lotte | Pepero – Double Dip Yogurt: These Pepero sticks are shorter than normal, but they’ve received a double dip in a yogurt cream coating that makes up for shortcoming.

Lotte | YoHi Greek Yogurt Waffle: I had to laugh a little when I saw this. Last month, I received another YoHi item, and it too featured Ha Seong-Un from the boy band Wanna One. Considering that there are 11 members in the group, what are the odds? Anyway, these wafer cookies are filled with a Greek yogurt cream.

Nong Shim | Banana Kick Original: I grew up eating these snacks. The packaging has changed over the years, but not the flavor or my love for them. These are lightly sweetened, banana-flavored corn puffs. They literally melt in your mouth.

Orion | Ai-Shyo: Ai-shyo = It’s so sour! This is a chewy candy with a VERY sour filling. The chewy layer is fruit flavored and doesn’t prepare you for the shock that’s inside. Snack Fever advises not to eat these in public because they’ll have you pulling the strangest faces. LOL.

Nong Shim | Chicken Legs – Spicy Fried Chicken: Last month we got spicy fried chicken almonds, and this month it’s an actual Buldakk snack. These crunchy little snacks are shaped like chicken drumsticks and the spicy heat is noticeable on the finish. Be prepared for it to sneak up on you.

Here’s a closer look at the snack. It’s got the perfect fried chicken texture to it.

Inside the package was a hidden picture search. Can you find the top, chili, seashell, bowl, boomerang, and hammer? According to the caption, a chicken hunter is listening to a story about a wanted chicken.

Secret Juju Organic Cotton Candy: These ladies do not look like your average Disney princesses! They’ve got a bit more attitude and maybe that’s why their cotton candy has some secret juju.

I love Korean thoughtfulness. When you pop off the lid, there’s a small fork inside that you can use to eat your cotton candy. No more sticky fingers.

Haitai | Ice Cube Café Gum: Usually people chew gum to get rid of coffee breath, not get it. Ha! This was an interesting item. My sister was the brave soul who tested this, and she said it was like a mint coffee. The gum had a strong coffee aroma without being chewed. According to the box, this is “ice cool.” I guess that’s why my sister tasted mint.

Jonegi Sweet Potato Caramel: Made from condensed milk, these caramels have a sweet potato flavor. Growing up, my mom would boil Asian sweet potatoes and serve them as a snack. These caramels capture that flavor perfectly.

Nong Shim | Salted Caramel Pretzels: Like the Banana Kick, these pretzels are actually corn puffs coated with a salted caramel flavoring. All I can say is YUM! These were so good that my sister, niece, and I were fighting over the bag.

The corn puff is shaped in the traditional pretzel twist and is thoroughly coated with the salted caramel.

Maxim | Mocha Gold Mild Coffee (x3): Another example of Korean thoughtfulness in action. Each of these tubes contains enough instant coffee, sugar, and creamer for one 8 oz. cup of coffee. Just add hot water and enjoy. I like to pack a few of these when I travel. Although most hotels provide coffee in the rooms, they rarely give you enough sugar or creamer. These save me the hassle of drinking a bad cup of coffee in the morning.

Haitai Ivy | Almond Blossom: First of all, let me say how much I love this box. Van Gogh’s Almond Blossom is one of my favorite paintings. These almond blossoms are crispy crackers with a sugary coating and almond slivers. They’re not overly sweet and make a good pairing for a cup of coffee or tea.

The box has individually wrapped 4-cracker packs.

** SNACK FEVER SWAG **

EXO Cube Sticker: This is a small pack of stickers featuring members of the boy band EXO.

Idol’s Favorite Mask: A K-Pop idol must have! These masks started out as a way for idols to hide their faces from paparazzi when looking less than stellar, but now are a fashion staple. I don’t see this fashion trend making it’s way to the US anytime soon. My mask has a skeletal nose and mouth.

Snack Fever K-Pop Stickers: Love K-Pop? Now you can show it with stickers showcasing the sunglasses and masks of your favorite stars. Note: According to the product sheet, I was supposed to receive a sheet of BTS stickers. Not sure where they went, but it wasn’t my box.

I couldn’t resist. I feel more like a bank robber than a K-Pop star. What do you think of the look?

Snack Fever has branched out and now offers a Doshirak (lunch) box. It seems that with the new offering, meal items were pulled from the Snack Fever assortments which is disappointing. I looked forward to trying out a new ramyun or soup along with my snacks. Oh well.

While you’re checking out Snack Fever, don’t forget about their other boxes – Doshirak (lunch) box with easy prep/ready-to-serve Korean food, Ramyun box with Korean instant noodles and condiments, or Daebak (jackpot) box with fun souvenirs and merchandise.
