Loot Crate’s Marvel Gear + Goods subscription is the ultimate subscription for Marvel fans! This bimonthly box comes loaded with completely exclusive Marvel items including wearables and other goods for only $34.99 per box. I like practical nerdiness, whether it’s to wear or to keep around my house and use, so I was so excited to receive this box!
The box is jampacked!
This month’s theme is JET SET!
Travelling can be a hassle — delays, security lines, random Fing Fang Foom attacks — but this collection will alleviate some of your stress! Traverse the planet, dimensional planes, or alternate universe in style with the help of this snazzy gear.
Here’s a card containing information about the items in the box.
They also included instructions on how you get your digital comic.
Everything in my January 2018 box!
The Ultimates #1 Dodson Variant Enamel Pin. This month’s pin looks so MARVELous! The design consists of Black Panther, Blue Marvel, Spectrum, Ms. America, and Captain Marvel.
The Ultimates are a group of superheroes who appeared in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. You get access to the digital version of the Ultimates #1 with your box, so cool that it matches!
Doctor Strange Eye of Agamotto Pocket Watch. This is an exclusive item from Loot Crate! The Eye of Agamotto is a powerful relic created by Agamotto, the first Sorcerers Supreme, to contain the power of the Time Stone inside it.
Instead of Time Stone inside the Agamotto Eye, we got this stunning pocket watch. I’m so thrilled!
This mystical watch comes with a brass looking chain. You can use it as a necklace just like in Dr. Strange!
It may not be able to transport you and your friends anywhere instantly, but this pocket watch would make sure that you are always on time!
Discover the secrets of the iconic vehicles from the Marvel Comics universe.
They may be best known for getting around on their own steam, but sometimes even Marvel Super Heroes need some extra torque. This Haynes Manual takes a look at the amazing vehicles of the Marvel Comics universe, from the X-Men’s supersonic jet, The Blackbird, to the mighty Helicarrier that transports the Avengers into battle and the Green Goblin’s preferred method of travel, the Goblin Glider. Also covering less well-known modes of transport like Spider-Man’s custom beach buggy, the Spider-Mobile, this lavishly illustrated book forms a comprehensive guide to the iconic vehicles that have helped make the Marvel Universe so rich and compelling. Marvel Vehicles: Owner’s Workshop Manual comes complete with schematics and in-depth technical information, making it essential for Marvel fans everywhere.
FYI – this is the Loot Crate version of the linked book – I’m not sure yet what the difference is. It looks a bit smaller than the regular book, but with the same number of pages.
The manual gives a very detailed information for some of Marvel’s famed transporter like the Goblin Glider, Guardians of the Galaxy Ship and of course the S.H.I.E.L.D. HELLICARRIER!
It’s not only about the superheroes. The manual also discusses some carrier used by Spidey’s enemies, such as Demogoblin and Menace Gliders!
Thor, aside from the Bifrost Bridge where he can be transported anywhere in the universe, is also using advance carrier technologies, like his chariot.
Quinjet 2 is a technologically advanced S.H.I.E.L.D. jet frequently used by the Avengers and STRIKE teams for transportation. It possesses an exceptional flight capabilities thanks to their unique wings which contain turbine fans.
This is a totally let’s all nerd out on comic tech item, and it’s really fun!
Black Panther Dopp Kit. Here’s another limited item from Loot Crate! The toiletry bag’s design is pretty simple. It’s in plain black, with Black Panther’s head on the bottom right.
A custom comic-panel style design showcases T’Challa in his vigorous fighting poses. Such a ferocious superhero! I cannot wait until this film drops!
Black Panther Carry On Bag. Whether you are travelling to Wakanda or elsewhere, this sleek bag will keep you prepared. Like the toiletry bag, the carry on bag’s design is simple.
It’s another Black Panther insignia! The stitching was off on mine, and I requested a replacement, which is on its way. In my experience Loot Crate replacements take about 2 months.
It features a large interior pocket and a decent front pocket on the outside for your organizing needs. Although I was happy that the interior seams were taped, the weight of the material could have been a lot nicer. It didn’t feel like a premium item, and with only a few items in the box, I think it should have been.
I was really excited about the travel set, and while I like the Black Panther carry-on and dopp kit, I think it could have had a little more quality put into it. That being said, it’s slick and put together and I will definitely be using it. I’m also pumped about the Dr. Strange watch – awesome for cosplay or just geeky flair. My husband was all over the book, so all together we loved the set.
