The box looks cute, suited for this month’s theme, and it’s based on DanMemo (Memoria Freese)!

This poster was illustrated by Renee Park.

The back of the poster serves as the information sheet. It lists of all the Anime goodies in this box.

Everything in the January 2018 Crate!

Memoria Freese Pin Set. We received two pins for this month: Bell Cranel and Hestia! They are characters from the light novel series entitled Memoria Freese.

The story follows the exploits of Bell Cranel, a 14-year-old solo adventurer under the goddess Hestia. As the only member of the Hestia Familia, he works hard every day in the dungeon to make ends meet while seeking to improve himself. He looks up to Ais Wallenstein, a famous and powerful swordswoman who once saved his life, and with whom he fell in love. He is unaware that several other girls, deities and mortals alike, also develop affections towards him; most notably Hestia herself, as he also gains allies and improves himself with each new challenge he faces.

5pb is also developing a video game for this cool series! Exciting times!

Steins Gate T-Shirt. One of our most anticipated items from this box is the shirt. This month, it’s all about Steins Gate, a visual novel-video game!

Steins Gate is an adaptation of the video game of the same name. It is set in 2010 in Akihabara, Tokyo, and follows Rintaro Okabe, a self-proclaimed “mad scientist”, who runs the “Future Gadget Laboratory” in an apartment together with his friends Mayuri Shiina and Itaru “Daru” Hashida.

The main shirt design features Rintaro Okabe a.k.a. Okarin, a self-proclaimed mad scientist and the series’ main protagonist. By his side is Kurisu Makise, a genius girl who graduated from university at the age of seventeen and her research on the brain’s memory retention system has earned critical acclaim in the scientific community. Together, they run the Future Gadget Lab, along with their other friends!

Final Fantasy Type-O Manga.

The cadets of Akademeia’s Class Zero are legends, with strength and magic unrivaled, and crimson capes symbolizing the great Vermilion Bird of the Dominion. But will their elite training be enough to keep them alive when a war breaks out and the Class Zero cadets find themselves at the front and center of a bloody political battlefield?!

The synopsis sounds interesting, like a start of great adventure!

Bonus Poster: Final Fantasy Type-O. It’s the front and back cover designs of the Final Fantasy manga combined into one rad poster!

This is just like a regular Japanese manga in terms of art and format but, of course, the text is in English!

The story is action packed and the illustrations kept up well. It’ll really get you hooked ’til the last page.

Sonic The Hedgehog 5″ Shadow The Hedgehog Collectible Figure. To wrap up this month’s box is a well-detailed figure of Shadow the Hedgehog, an anthropomorphic hedgehog/Black Arm hybrid and the arch-rival of Sonic the Hedgehog.

The box features Shadow in his cool stance!

The figure comes in several easy-to-assemble pieces.

Shadow is also known as the Ultimate Hedgehog. Style-wise, I love his overall attire including the white gloves, black and red-tongued cuffs, gold rings and, of course, his air shoes! That ring of his aura at the back exudes great power!

He actually looked dashing and powerful!

Look at his fiery red eyes, perfectly complemented with the streaks of crimson fur. He looks ready to face the main protagonist!

The items from Loot Anime are always licensed, making it a worthy subscription for any die hard anime fan. This month’s figure is really cool, with all that detail on Shadow’s attire! I’m still missing the charm because the box doesn’t feel complete without those cute little items. Crossing my fingers for more cool stuff next month, and for the charms’ comeback too!
