Luxie Beauty Blending Shading Brush 249 – SIMILAR (about $24) This double-sided brush has a beautiful rose gold handle. It’s tapered on one end for packing down your powder shadows, and fluffy on the flip side for easy blending.

Sand & Sky Detoxify + Brighten Purifying Pink Clay Mask ($11.25) Breakouts and blackheads can be prevented with the help of this pink clay mask. It clarifies, invigorates, refines texture, and brightens skin.

This formula is rich in numerous botanicals native to Australia—including pink clay, licorice, aloe vera, and pomegranate, plus mangosteen and Kakadu plum and kelp. To use, slather it on as a little pre-nocturnal indulgence or before makeup to prep your skin as pores are clear and happy and give a radiant complexion.

Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold Blush ($8) This blush is a multi-dimensional, versatile blush with micro gold frosting to create a subtle, shimmering flush.

It is designed to flatter all skin tones with just the right balance of color and light. The product is infused with lychee and chamomile extracts for a subtle blushed luminosity and radiance. It keeps the skin hydrated too. For an $8 blush it had a surprisingly creamy high end texture and is just so pretty.

Marsk Loose Eyeshadow In Foiled Again ($22.50) Highly-pigmented and easily blendable, this metallic eyeshadow is perfect for creating depth and intensity around the eyes.

The loose powder is 100% natural and mineral-based. I love the shine on this dark, yet glitzy shade!

Here are the swatches! On top is the blush, and below is the eyeshadow.

Blaq Meteor Shower Shimmer Scrub ($6.24) When I saw this in my package, I was awestruck! This shimmer scrub is yes, made of actual meteors from the outer space. How cool is that?!

This scrub is also filled with natural ingredients including activated charcoal. It’s out of this world… Literally! The back has extensive directions for making sure your actual moon glow stays on your body post shower.

PLUS omg, you can track the landing site of your meteor.

Then I got this email, and I knew I really had to try it out.

Eeeek! This stuff is really sticky. They use soybean oil to make it glom onto your skin. The instructions say to “scrub off with water” but they don’t quite mention you’ll need a loofah for that. Post shower and scrubbing to get the sticky stuff off there wasn’t a discernible glow, but my skin did feel soft. It wasn’t, however, worth the hassle. I am intrigued by the idea though (see those pretty sparkles?) and hoping that they make a different product out of it.

This month’s bag is really a good curation overall, as the total value was about $72! I’m really happy with the idea of the meteor shimmer scrub, and I’m still fascinated by the fact that it’s made from actual meteors, even though it didn’t work out the best! The brush is also great because it’s dual purpose, while the rest of the makeup items are really useful!  My bag arrived just in time to doll up a romantic Valentine’s look. My $10 went a really long way and I’m happy about it! One of my favorite Ipsy bags EVER!
