Skin Owl Maqui Berry Beauty Whip ($68) The booklet recommends keeping this product in the fridge and I concur. It’s a moisturizing mask that hydrates and brightens your skin. The formula is gentle and creamy, and I like how it instantly gets absorbed by the skin without being heavy. The scent is just as lovely. You can also use it as an overnight mask or as a makeup primer. The maqui berry has a high concentration of delphinidins, anti-inflammatory, plus it helps with hyper-pigmentation and rosacea.
Skin Owl Geranium Beauty Drops ($35) This organic face oil ideal for night time use, especially during winter. Its contents provide hydration while controlling the production of sebum on skin. This oil didn’t irritate my skin nor cause breakouts. It seems that its consistency is thicker than the usual oils, and may pass as a moisturizer. Mix a few drops with the Beauty Whip for a night cream!
Skin Owl Lovey Dovey Beauty Steam – SIMILAR ($7.80) I like the aromatic floral smell of this beauty steam. It is best used before you start your nighttime skin care regimen. According to the info card, this blend should be poured in a bowl of hot boiling water and steeped for 2 minutes. Then, you can drape a towel over your head and the bowl and steam for at least 5 minutes. I think a facial steamer might be in order!
Aside from its relaxing aromatic scent, it also opens your pores and increases circulation for a clear and radiant skin.
A triple product regimen for this month’s Detox Box put this box just over the $100 mark, which is pretty amazing! I love this brand and their conscious effort to bring more antioxidants and glow into my skin, and I’ve been finding everything really effective. The bonus for me this month were the scents of the products, which are all lovely (but not artificial of course)! Plus I thought it had a bit of a Valentine’s Day vibe, which I always like to see in the month of Love!
