First look!

Each box comes with a mini magazine that gives tips on how to use the products, how much the full-sized product costs, and where to purchase, along with discount codes!

Everything in the box! My glossy red box was wrapped in plastic and my products were snuggled in white tissue paper and shredded squiggles for packing.

Youth to the People Age Prevention Superfood Cream ($12) is a moisturizing and anti-aging cream made with superfoods such as kale, spinach, and green tea extract along with hyaluronic acid to help bring moisture to the skin.

The color is very pale green and the scent is softly floral. My skin absorbed it very quickly and it was non-greasy and light. I followed it with another moisturizer since my skin is dry.

Juice Beauty Liquid Lip In Gwyneth ($6.86) I love trying natural beauty products and appreciate that they give results that are as good as, if not better than, conventional beauty products.

The sample size of this lip product is pretty nice, plus, it’s handy to take on the go. Do the shade names sound familiar?

The shade “Gwyneth” is described as “rich berry.”

The applicator was pretty saturated so I went ahead and just dabbed a bit on my lips and then smeared it in with a lip brush. I was surprised to find it still on my lips after a couple of hours running errands. Shea butter kept my lips soft, while fruit stem cells and vitamins provide antioxidants and anti-aging benefits.

Cle Cosmetics Highlighter Cushion In Glinting Buff ($30) Yay for full-sized products!

Essence Moonlighter Cushion provides a lustrous shine equivalent to that of moonlight glistening on water.

Oohh, I like the sound of that!

There was a soft applicator inside and I just want to say that I like that the applicator sits in its own compartment, and not directly on the product, so I can control how much highlighter to apply. You can also use your fingers or a makeup brush.

Just dab the sponge or applicator of choice on the cushion and then apply to your face. You can highlight the usual places – nose, cheeks, cupid’s bow, or brow bone, or go a little more daring and swipe on your collar bones or decolletage.

On the top I swatched the highlighter, which behaved itself and wasn’t obnoxiously shiny, followed by the lip product underneath.

SkinFix Lip Repair Balm Minty Mint Flavor ($14.79) Hmm, the retail price of this product is supposed to be $4.99, but it is selling for much higher on Amazon. I love a short ingredient list, and this one fits the bill. Petroleum jelly, coconut oil, and beeswax are some of the soothing moisturizers in this silky lip product, which is more like a gloss and less like Chapstick. I used it before bed for a few nights in a row and each morning my lips were soft. Plus, I love anything minty fresh.

Tarte tarteist Lash Paint Mascara ($15) is a paraben-free lash volumizer.

The “paint brush” is designed to grab every last lash, even small lashes.

At first I didn’t think it had worked well, but the next day when I applied to just one side I could see a big difference. It helped separate my lashes (no more clumps!) and lengthened them too.

Allure always sends a nice variety of products, and even though this box had several makeup items, they all served very different purposes and went together very well. The highlighter and lip balm were both full-sized products, and the mascara was a very generous size, as was the lippy sample. The moisturizer is almost gone and although it wasn’t quite strong enough for me, I think it might work well in the summer. My items had a value of around $78.65! I am so pleased with the brands that Allure sends each month, too, and it is consistently one of my favorite boxes to receive each month.
