TokyoTreat is a Japanese treat box that is shipped directly from Japan. For 2018, TokyoTreat has once again revamped the box.

There are now only two box sizes — Classic ($22.50) and Premium ($31.50). As always, shipping is free worldwide.

  • The Classic box includes 12 items altogether — 4 popular snacks, 4 share packs (new), 2 dagashi snacks, 1 DIY candy kit, and 1 kinosei (quirky) snack.
  • The Premium box includes 17 items — 5 popular snacks, 1 party pack (new), 4 share packs (new), 3 dagashi snacks, 1 anime snack (new), 1 DIY candy kit, 1 kinosei snack, 1 drink.

There is no longer a paper magazine included, it is all digital/online now.

It’s an interesting change. The DIY kit was previously exclusive to the Premium box, so now all subscribers can enjoy it. The guaranteed anime snack might now be motivation for someone to pick the premium box, as well as the party pack. The share packs are basically small pouches of one snack to share with friends in a smaller size, while the party pack seems to be one big bag of something to share.

This is a review of the Premium box.

DEAL: Use code 3OFF at checkout to save $3 on your first box! When you subscribe to a Premium plan with coupon code KIRBYXMAS you’ll get bonus Kirby items with your first YumeTwinsTokyoTreat, or nmnl Box  (and you’ll get a bath bomb free with your first month if you do month to month).

The magazine has been replaced with an info card.

Everything inside the box!

Crunchy Panda Party Pack contains eight little packs of cute panda-shaped chocolate cookies. It’s perfect for sharing with family and friends.

YBC Aerial Cheese Flavor Chips Snack is a crunchy corn snack coated by a mixture of cheddar and cream cheese. It’s so crispy and flavorful.

Taste Sugar Sanppin Charge Gummy Lemon Flavor is a chewy candy with intense lemon flavor. It is packed with lots of Vitamin C too.

Porinki Corn Chips is a pack of sweet and crispy triangular-shaped corn-flavored snacks. These are soooo addicting and reminded me of Bugle corn chips!

Hi-Chew Premium Chardonnay is made with Chardonnay grape juice on the inside, while the outside coating is made with the juice of Muscat of Alexandria. It has a luxurious flavor and texture that I really like.

Taiarare is a light snack that comes in the form of red snappers. It tastes like fish, but a little sweeter. Apparently, this snack is popular among the Japanese people. I’m not a huge fan of fish so I shared these!

Super Mario Chocolate is a piece of chocolate with crunchy bits inside. You can also break it first before eating to unleash a Super Mario chocolate figure!

Lotte Koala Cookie Chocolate are cookies with a koala design. Each piece is filled with cream inside that explodes in your mouth with every bite!

Pizza Umaibo is a crunchy tube of puffed corn which is flavored exactly just like pizza. It’s such a yummy savory treat!

Glico Caplico Mini is a strawberry flavored snack. Its tiny wafer cone has bubbly strawberry on top and chocolate inside! These remind me of Aero chocolate bars that we have in Canada.

Kasugai Mini Candies arrived in five little packs. These tasty candies feature different animal characters on each wrapper.

Cream Rusk is a slice of crisp dry toasted bread coated with sweet cream. The taste is so delicious and totally addicting!

Meigum Jikken Slime Jelly is a slime candy kit. It’s gooey, sticky and fun! Simply mix the soda-flavored powders with water and watch it transform into a blue, edible slime.

EXCLUSIVE: Hokkaido Design Coca-Cola! The design was made and sold only in Hokkaido. The bottle is aluminum – it will keep your drink safer and cooler for a longer time!

Tokyo Treat continues to evolve but still delivers a solid snack experience. I’m happy to see some larger sizes included to share.

Do NOT buy/subscribe to Tokyo treats !! Service is disastrous: after 2 months without receiving my boxes, I’ve messaged the customer service: they did nothing to try to solve the issue. They just have been stalling for 2 more months, so that I pay for 2 more months of subscription. They refused to give me refund when I haven’t received any of the 4 boxes they should have send ! This is a shameful business that only have short term view of extracting the most money from customers. DO NOT BUY!
