To Members from our original, bi-monthly subscription service:
If you signed up for our new service, we will be canceling your old, bi-monthly account this week.  We needed to keep it open to confirm that you qualified for the grandfathered pricing and our Black Friday special.

  • If you selected the VIP option, you will not be billed again this year.
  • If you have the VIP option then you will be able to customize most of your box.
  • If you signed up for the quarterly option, here is your billing schedule for 2018:

I was excited for the theme of this box, but the curation was a little all over the place in terms of style. The same box had french country cute, eco-minimalist, pop casual, trendy, etc. (Some items would work well together, but all eight items together didn’t seem cohesive.)

Unfortunately the items in my box weren’t really in pristine condition (tears on stickers, dinged boxes, grime all over the cups, torn tissue paper) and my tote bag even came damaged (they are replacing the tote, though, and would have refunded the box if I could have returned all the items, but I couldn’t since I’d already eaten a chocolate and opened the cups to wash them.)

They sent out a survey requesting feedback, which I gave, and a customer service rep wrote me that she/he had gone ahead and cancelled my subscription, without asking me. When I wrote back to insist I hadn’t cancelled they doubled down that it somehow was acceptable for them to cancel me as they want ‘happy customers’ and I just don’t fit with their style, etc.

I would recommend that anyone (especially quarterly subscribers with grandfathered pricing) double-check their accounts, as at this point quite a number of people have been cancelled; myself specifically due to giving negative feedback on the survey, a lady who had a damaged item, a lady who never got her box, etc. plus Sugarbash has written a couple people who found their accounts cancelled that about 30 other people were cancelled due to a glitch.
