January is about Black & White for the New Year!

The flip side tells us about Mail Art and how to do a first simple design.

As usual, we get a Postmark’d Studio postcard.

It is a very thick cardboard postcard.

Every month, we receive a Postmark’d Studio pencil (they are usually grey, does it mean that blue will be the color for 2018?) This month’s Artsydoodad is an Itoya Doubleheader calligraphy pen in black. The tips are squared, making it hard for me to use properly. My sister loves it and stole it already.

A staple in the PostBox: stamps! No more running to the post office to get stamps! You also get a magnetic bulldog clip for the calendar included in this New Year Box! (See below).

Happy New Year by Bred&Butter Paper Co. A lovely simple black and white card for the new year. I love the black dots inside the kraft envelop! It’s elegant, classy, but with something a bit special thrown in! I love it.

You’re Ze-Best by Paper Wolf Design. Who doesn’t like a cute pun? This one reminds me of the 80’s, with the roller skates and the zebra print!

Hello by Ramona&Ruth. This is an extra-thick cotton paper and the sides are colored neon pink!

It can be used as both a card in the envelop or as a postcard. The design is embossed in the paper for added texture. It says on the website that it is a zigzag pattern, but I see it more like a bunch of xxx.

Black Sheep by Gingiber. A sheep with attitude! This is my favorite card this month. The back of the card is covered with the woll pattern of the sheep. It looks so cozy, but judgemental at the same time! Look at his rosy cheeks! The info card suggests that this card would be nice for someone who likes to knit! And now I want a big fluffy black sweater!

A Wink by Dahlia Designs. A cute little wink to send to someone who needs some pick me up. It’s fun, simple and can be used in so many occasion. The design is embossed in the cardboard.

2018 Calendar by When It Rains Paper. A sturdy set of heavy duty card for each of the month of 2018 (or 2029, because there’s no year noted on the calendar!) You can circle important dates, and hand the monthly card on your fridge with the magnetic bulldog clip included in the box. Every month has nice bold color.

This month was right up my alley with the black and white theme. The cards are always unique and of great quality. The calendar was a nice touch, and I like the mix of classy, simple, and whimsical design. There’s a card for everyone on your penpal list!
