Every so often we get a chance to review a brand that isn’t a subscription box. Pixi Beauty reached out to us late last year asking if we would be interested in reviewing some products, and being fans we said yes! This week two boxes landed at my door compliments of Pixi!
How amazing is this packaging? The key actually came off the chain and was at the bottom of the outer box — I almost got locked out!
So much rose gold! Squee!
The back of the box had a lovely message.
First look inside — Skin treats and lip treats! The products included all feature rose as a key ingredient.
Rose Caviar Essence ($24) — Capsules of oil are suspended in a serum. In addition to Rosa damascena flower oil there is also sunflower oil, jojoba oil, olive fruit oil, and more.
Rose Flash Balm ($24) — A soothing balm you can use as a cream, a mask, or a makeup primer! It smells amazing and has rose extract as well as witch hazel.
MatteLast Liquid Lip ($14 each) — A matte formula liquid lipstick that won awards from Allure UK! All five shades are fairly neutral, with Au Naturale being the boldest with a more coral orange tone. Swatches below!
Au Naturale, Matte Beige, Pastel Petal, Really Rose, Evening Rose. They are light and comfortable to wear, though I did experience transfer when eating. They have a sweet orange scent.
The other box contained a personalized jumbo bottle of their famous Glow Tonic! I bought a trial size of this last year and fell in love with it — sadly Santa didn’t bring it for me for Christmas, but Pixi to the rescue! This is a special jumbo size they only sold for one day.
The toner contains 5% glycolic acid, a type of AHA that works especially well for dry skin. It also contains ginseng and aloe vera. I love this toner because it’s gentle enough to use daily without worry of overexfoliation, though if you haven’t used an exfoliating toner before I still recommend starting slowly. It also smells great, refreshing and slightly herbal from the ginseng.
A pump dispenser was also included!
The bottle is seriously huge!
I love Pixi products because they work well and are reasonably priced. I’m super excited that they are introducing more Rose inspired products as I love it as an ingredient and a fragrance. The personalized glow tonic is amazing and couldn’t have arrived at a better time. A big thank you to Pixi for sending along such a great collection of products to try!
