The box can either be for a boy or a girl between the ages of 5 and 12. All items come from the Old Navy brand.

There are several styles trends to choose from – The Trendsetter, Sporty Superstar, Classic Fantastic, The Good Sport, Playful Prepster, and Cool as a cucumber.

Everything in our Winter Box – we signed up for our very large 3 year old.

Awesome Sweater Beanie ($12.99, $8.75 to keep) Knitted beanies are a must-have for winter! This one has a fluffy pompom on top, making it extra cuter. It’s super comfortable to wear and thick enough to keep the kids warm! Unfortunately it’s a bit on the small side… and we have plenty of hats!

Mountain Tucker Hat ($9.99, $6.73 to keep) Next item is a navy blue trucker cap with a realistic photo of a mountain on the front foam. I couldn’t believe we got a second hat – and that it’s a trucker hat.

It is made with 100% polyester. The sides and back is a breathable mesh and the lining on the inside is padded.

It has plastic snap tabs at the back so it can be adjusted to fit the head.

My 3-year-old son isn’t sure about this – it’s on the very last snap. It’s hard to fault Old Navy for the fact that he literally has an adult sized head (he’s the recipient of half our trucker and snapbacks!) but really, it’s gotta be small for elementary aged kids too. And two hats? Where’s my clothes? PASS.

Camo Print Jogger Pant – Size XS ($29.99, $20.19 to keep) This pair of drawstring cargo jogger pants is made of 98% cotton with an elastic waistband and ankle cuffs. I got the regular XS size that is ideally for boys aged 5-6 with heights between 42-45in. They fit pretty well, but I’d never pay $20 for a pair of kids pants from Old Navy. I would pay $13 Max.

The pants were made using Built-In Flex technology. It’s stretchy and has a really comfortable fit!

Grey Longsleeve Raglan Softest Tee – Size XS SIMILAR ($12.99, $8.75 to keep) This plain cotton longsleeves top is designed with different contrasting colors on the neck rim, the sleeves and the body.

Both the raglan tee and the pants fit him well.

Polaroid Graphic Tee – Size XS ($12.99, $8.75 to keep) Similar to the grey longsleeves top, this top is also made with 60% cotton and 40% polyester.

The quality of the print is nice. The one that we got has an interesting print of a black and white polaroid photo against a scenic background.

The graphic tee is a bit big, but still comfy!

Buffalo Check Woven Flannel Shirt – Size XS ($24.99, $16.82 to keep) Last but not the least is a long sleeved checkered flannel shirt with patch pockets and buttoned cuffs. It’s made from 100% cotton with a little added texture. Again – too pricey for Old Navy’s kids clothes.

I like the flannel shirt because it’s a great layering item for winter, and it looks great on him too!

Shopping for kids clothing is not an easy task, so I am glad there are subscriptions like The Old Navy Superbox that sends great clothing items with an option to send them back in case they don’t fit or they’re not your style. The regular price of all the items put together is $103.94 but the subscription is only $69.99 per quarter. In case you decide to keep all of the items, get an automatic $10 discount on your next box. Maybe I’m just super biased about Old Navy clothes, but unlike the Gap Baby Outfit Box the prices here seemed WAY too high considering that Old Navy is regularly 40-50% off with another 10-20% off on top of that. Yes, the box is convenient, but that convenience doesn’t outweigh commonsense. Check out Rockets of Awesome (higher quality, cost $20-35 per piece, whole box for $150) and Kidbox (get whole much bigger box for $99). Even without the hat fit issue – the two hats in my box is really baffling to me!
