Starting at $9.99 each month, you’ll get monthly shipment of handpicked books that you and your kids will surely love. Each BCCKids case comes with three handpicked children’s books, chosen to ignite the imagination and inspire creativity.

This month’s package arrived well-packed with pieces of paper providing extra support during transport. As always, we were so excited to see what was inside!

Everything in the January 2018 box!

The Jungle Book By Rudyard Kipling ($12.14)

Mowgli’s story comes to life in this classic retelling of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book, featuring beautiful, vibrant illustrations by Migy Blanco.

Mowgli loves living in the jungle with his wolf family and his friends Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther. He’s been learning the ways of the jungle ever since he was a little boy. But when the tiger Shere Khan tries to turn the pack against Mowgli, making him feel unwelcome, Mowgli realizes he may not belong here after all. But what will happen when it’s time for the boy to leave the wolf pack that raised him to go live with his people?

Just like most hard bound books, the inside flap will give you a short synopsis of the story.

You’re probably familiar with Jungle Book from Disney, but this one is the original version. It’s a classic and I think it’s great choice for this new subscription!

Goon Holler: Goon Fishin’ By Parker Jacobs ($1.54)

From the creators of Yo Gabba Gabba!

Goon Holler is tucked away deep in the forests of Burgertucky and is home to many types of folk–mermaids, wizards, aliens, and, of course, some very mischievous goons.
In the second installment of this series, Dosie and the Goons waste the day away fishing while Tooba works up a sweat cooking up hot dogs. Even though the Sasquatch wishes he could be down at the watering hole, at the end of the day, he learns the reward that comes at the end of a day’s hard work. Each book features an original song!

The glossy and colorful pages captured my kids’ attention.

The story is easy enough for beginners, while the characters are so fun and lovable.

This is actually the second book in the series. The first one is entitled Welcome to Goon Holler.

Amelia Bedelia Chapter Book #5: Amelia Bedelia Shapes Up By Herman Parish ($9.97)

Amelia Bedelia usually loves recess. One day, though, she doesn’t get picked for a team and she begins to have second thoughts about sports. What’s so great about jumping and catching, anyway? But when everyone sets out to change her mind, Amelia Bedelia shapes up and discovers how to be a true champion.

Look out! Here comes Amelia Bedelia, and she is running really fast!

The cover illustrations are also cute! We got my son hooked on the original version and he’s been reading these – we were THRILLED to get book five, it was next on our list!

Unlike the first two books, this one doesn’t have colored and glossy inside pages. It’s more suitable for older kids.

A Matter-Of-Fact Magic Book: Magic In The Park By Ruth Chew ($5.99 Paperback)

Jen Mace and her new friend Mike Steward learn that magic can happen when you least expect it. And though it is very exciting, it can also be dangerous.

Jen has just moved to Brooklyn. She misses the woods and fields of her old home. But while walking in Prospect Park one day, she meets Mike. Together they are fascinated with the older gentleman who is always surrounded by birds and seems to appear and disappear quite suddenly.

For decades, Ruth Chew’s books have enchanted early readers with the thrill of magic in their own lives. Now these magical tales are once again available to cast their spell on a new generation of fans.

The back cover features some other books that you can get from the Matter-Of-Fact series.

How can an old tree move around? The inside flap can answer that!

Magic In The Park By Ruth Chew ($12.99 Used-Paperback) Here’s the book cover without the flap jacket! It’s the original cover art.

There are no illustrations inside. This story is also ideal for the older kids.

This month’s Kids BookCase Club selection is fun and interesting! We love receiving classics like The Jungle Book, as well as new stories like Goon Fishing. The rest are all really intriguing and they will keep the kids busy before going to bed. This subscription is a great way of discovering books that will help develop our kids’ comprehension and reading skills. It’s so useful for parents and kids who love bonding by reading, just like us!
