Bookroo is a monthly book subscription for kids! With this subscription, you can choose between board books (best for ages 0-3) and picture books (2-6+).  They’ve also added Bookroo Jr. to the lineup, perfect for ages 7-10. The retail value of the books you receive will always be above the subscription cost, and the shipping is free!

This is a review of the board book subscription!

Your books will arrive neatly wrapped in gift paper and tied with a bow. It’s a lovely touch, and it turns it into an easy gift for a grandparent to pick up! Throw on a card and bow, and they would be presentable for any gift-giving occasion. The paper was also slightly rubberized (not tyvek, but similar to other mailing packs), so the books are both pretty and well protected. The care with which the books were packed tells me the curator has a great love and respect for books.

Choo-Choo Colors Lift-A-Flap Learning Activity Toy Board Book Learning Toy ($6.99)

This great lift-a-flap board book makes learning about colors so much fun! Bendon choo-choo colors? board book uses 5 spreads with lift-a-flap surprises to reveal a great introduction to colors for ages 3 and up.

Each page has a picture of a train carriage with pull up windows featuring various words and pictures. I found my little guy reading this book this morning happily exclaiming the colors and the animals hidden beneath the flap.

The images are really cute. It’s a fun way for kids to learn new words about colors.

I really like the polka dot gift paper used here. It’s pink, blue, and yellow!

Kisses And Cuddles ($5.99)

A little penguin loves to do many things during his fun day, but nothing beats getting kisses and cuddles from his mama!

Follow a little penguin as he spends his day doing everything he loves–such as eating pancakes, playing with his toys, drinking hot chocolate, spotting rainbows, and more. But what does he love the most? Kisses and cuddles from his mama!

This book is filled with images of a baby penguin with his mom. So adorable!

It ends with the last thing he and his mom does before going to sleep.

The hardbound cardboard cover of the book is outlined with lots of pink and red hearts.

The wrapper used on the last book is different compared to the first two, it has a single pink color with flamingos in different shades.

When Your Elephant Has The Sniffles By Susanna Leonard Hill ($7.67)

When your elephant has the sniffles, you better make sure he doesn’t sneeze! This charming and hilarious board book highlights the many ways to make an under-the-weather elephant feel better!

Does your elephant have the sniffles? Make sure to take good care of him because you don’t want him to start sneezing. Gather up your tissues and your pillows and make that elephant feel better! But don’t get too close…or you just might end up with the sniffles, too!

This book is about an elephant with the sniffles. The images are simple but really nice and the text are big and easy to understand for the kids.

Even though the story is about an elephant, it still has great tips on how to handle the sniffles.

There are other When Your books to look out for too!

We love Bookroo because everything they send is truly kid-friendly! The books are easy enough for beginners, and they are great whether for self-reading or for bedtime stories. It’s a great subscription for families, because it makes such a fun and engaging family time. The addition of the extension activities highlights this subscription as a really great value!
