Birchbox Man is a monthly grooming and lifestyle subscription for men. Through it, you’ll receive 3-4 sample items that are smaller versions of what you can order from the Birchbox site, plus a lifestyle item that is full-size. Boxes are $20 per month.
This month’s Birchbox Man had lots of great stuff to get my face looking good for the Holidays. My bright orange bag arrived with my box of products and my lifestyle item.

Subscribers are given a chance via email/your account to choose a lifestyle item (mine is the pair of gloves on the right). Here’s what I got for my January 2018 box.
BONUS: TRNDlabs Touchscreen Gloves ($19) These knit winter gloves are perfect for winter. They are light and comfortable to wear, but they add a nice barrier from the chill outside.
This pair of gloves features a conductive palm that provides a better grip, allowing you to answer a call or text all winter long without sacrificing warmth. These will be super handy as driving gloves, too, as many cars now have touchscreen controls.
It has a garterized wrist and is made of pretty comfortable material.
They also included a 50% discount coupon in case anyone wants to purchase a second pair of gloves.
Montale Aoud Forest Eau De Parfum ($4.80) Aoud Forest is aromatic and spicy, a very masculine scent ideal for everyday use.
It has notes of white musk, amber, lemon, grapefruit, rosemary, rose, ginger and agar.
The scent stays for quite a long time too! It has a very perfume-like character — though comprising masculine notes, it has a piercing and sweet sillage.
Cliff Original Light + Fresh Daily Unscented Face Moisturizer ($4.73) Applying facial moisturizer is a great help in dealing with dullness and flaking, especially in the harsh winter weather. This one is light and unscented, and I like it because it made my face feel clean and hydrated throughout the day. It’s made of all-natural ingredients including hemp seed oil, grape seed oil, and sweet Almond Oil.
Brickell Men’s Products Clarifying Gel Face Wash ($1.58) Ideal for those who have oily, normal and combo type skin, this coconut-based cleanser effectively removes dead skin, dirt and oil without overdrying. It also contains aloe that helps in renewing the skin and geranium which acts as a natural anti-septic. Unlike other cleansers for men, this one didn’t make my face feel greasy. Another thing I liked is its refreshing scent, which is a combination of peppermint, eucalyptus and lemongrass — not too strong, but very bright and fresh.
Journeymen Cypress/Smoke Bodywash ($1.92) Next up is an all natural body wash infused with amino acid complex and aloe vera. It’s surprisingly soothing and moisturizing, something I won’t really mind using everyday. With a top note of cypress leaf and a smoky red cedar background, its scent is really manly and the good thing is that it lasts!
Menaji Lip Balm Agent ($6.50) Packed with macadamia oil, jojoba oil and vitamin E, this lip balm soothes and nourishes the lips while keeping it protected against harmful elements. It’s easy to apply and you only need to apply it once a day so it’s really convenient.
It is peppermint-flavored, but it is mild, and I didn’t find it annoying or overly-tingly.
This month’s box was great for a cold, dry winter! The items are mostly winter essentials for men and I couldn’t be happier because they are things that I can actually use. The inclusion of a lifestyle item in the subscription really ups the value proposition, too — the pair of touchscreen-friendly winter gloves ‘ retail price is just a dollar short of the cost of the whole box!
