TopMunch promises to take you on a trip around the world with their snack box. Featuring snacks and treats from somewhere in the world, it means a complete experience of a different culture every month. They also include a complete travel and cultural guide in every shipment.

There’s a note about Japan, a splash about the culture, a playlist to help magnify the tasting experience and top phrases. This is just the tip of the enclosed pamphlet.

DEAL: Get $5 off of your first box! Use coupon code  HELLOSUBFIRSTBOX.

The reverse has detailed travel information, details on the seven included snacks and information about the referral program. I don’t think there is a detail TopMunch has left out and that makes for a wonderful experience. I suggest putting the playlist on while tasting your treats, it helps the imagination travel to a new land.

Amanoya Himemaru. This is one of the most popular Japanese snacks. Himemarus are golden-hued, deep-fried rice crackers in the shape of a shell. They are crunchy with a light soy sauce flavor that threw me off on the first taste but grew on me and my taste test went on. They are a little sweet and salty but incredibly crispy I could easily polish off a bag without thinking while watching tv or counting down the work day.

Bourbon Every Burger Cookie. This is a chocolate burger sandwiched between two sesame seed sprinkled biscuits. My daughter and I loved this treat, not only is it super cute but also very sweet. This is a must try for anyone who loves chocolate and burgers.

Uha Mikakuto Pucao Fruit. The consistency of these candies is similar to taffy and gummy candies wrapped together. I loved them, my husband not so much as he is not a fan of gummies. In my opinion the strawberry were the best ones, followed pretty closely by the grape. Uha was coined as a Japanese word symbolizing a wish to provide please and they sure hit the mark with Puchao.

Haldirams Soan PapdiGlico Cheeza Camembert. These little cheese flavored crackers are packed to the hilt with cheese, they are made with 53% real cheese. In Japan, it’s customary to serve these with an alcoholic beverage. They paired perfectly with my red wine and meat tray. I could not get over how these put all other cheese crackers to shame, these will be on my holiday table.

Bourbon Lumonde Cookie. This was a strange cookie, its flaky, light and sweet. After reading the description card, I’ve learned that this is crispy crepe biscuit covered in chocolate frosting. The frosting is supposed to help keep the flaky mess down. I will agree with the description that it leaves you wanting more and than goodness they are individually packaged because I won’t have 12 wrappers around me, I can portion control.

Kasugai Rosted Green Peas. I was so sad that these where just roasted with salt instead of with something spicy, I’ve only had the wasabi peas before. These are a little bit boring but I loved the crunch factor. As crunchy as chips with a lot more nutritional value, I could see bringing these to the movies instead of popcorn.

Glico Pocky Squeeze – Mango. There is no wonder why Pokcy is the most popular candy from Japan, it’s delicious. The difference between regular Pocky and the Pocky Squeeze is the amount of flavoring… squeeze has twice as much! I have yet to try a Pocky stick that I haven’t loved. In fact, I recently found these in a local store and have stock piled them, they work wonders in motivating my daughter. I am so glad Top Munch included my favorite Japanese snack.

November’s TopMunch was amazing! All of the products were fresh and delicious. My favorite was the Pocky, I know I’ve had it before but this mango flavor made me want to try fresh mango. This box is a great way to sample treats from around the world that you probably wouldn’t be able to enjoy without visiting the country yourself. I have been missing the tasting card that we can compare each family members reactions for each product. Oh and my tip of the month, read the description card after your taste testing because it sometimes makes you not want to taste a product. Believe me you don’t want to miss out on this fun box and share a few laughs with the family.
