The Target Art & Craft Kit is a monthly art & craft subscription for kids ages 6-10. You’ll receive a different pre-packaged crafting activity each month shipped from Target for $14.99.

Like the previous months, we received a single commercially available craft kit.

It arrived much like an Amazon package does, shipped in a larger cardboard box with bubble packs.

TIPS: Use your Target Red Card for a discount. Plus, be sure to subscribe to the kit for an additional 5% off!

Star Wars Ultimate Activity Case ($24.99) This is an awesome Star Wars themed case, filled with fun tools and activities for the kids. It is made of paperboard with plastic handles.

The case arrived damaged so we’re a bit disappointed. Target’s answer to this issue seems to be to return it – but with no way to get the lower price we paid with the subscription. Hey Target – you’re not really getting it!

Trying to ignore the damaged side of the case, it actually looks cool.

Everything inside the activity case. There’s definitely more case than items.

The activity set includes an activity pad, dual-sided magnetic scene, foam stampers and ink pad, mini markers, and sheets of magnetic and metallic stickers.

The activity case actually resembles a make-up storage case. It can also be used to store other stuff like toys and educational materials.

The kids can create their own Star Wars scene with these magnetic vinyl stickers and double-sided magnetic card.

Here’s the first side of the magnetic scene and we tried decorating it with the characters such as Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO, Luke Skywalker, a stormtrooper and Boba Fett.

The other side is outer space so there goes the Star Destroyer and the TIE fighters!

Here are the other items from the box.

The stamps bear the icons for Rebel Alliance, Empire Galactic, and TIE fighter. It also comes with a stamp pad.
More stickers! These two sheets are filled with Star Wars vehicles and characters such as Darth Vader, Yoda, R2-D2 and Chewbacca. They can be used on the activity pad and also when decorating the activity case.

The kit includes colorful markers!

This 25-page activity pad provides lots of fun activities to keep the kids occupied.

Here’s a sample page where they can color the ships and use the stamper to indicate which belongs to the Rebel Alliance or Galactic Empire.

Meanwhile, this page is an activity where they will determine which of the characters is a hero or a villain.

There’s also a word search puzzle inside the activity pad.

Here’s another sample page where the stickers can be used. I wonder who that character is…

This month’s Target Art & Craft box is fun! The kit is great for keeping the kids busy during long travels, but it would also make a fun bonding activity at home. The only thing we weren’t happy about was the fact that the case was damaged. Overall, we think this is an awesome subscription to get for the kids, whether they’re already into arts and crafts or you’re just starting to introduce them to such activities. Some of the kits that Target sends are gender neutral while some are not. The great thing about it is that you can always look forward to new stuff every month, and in case your kid is not interested in a particular month’s featured kit, you can always save the items for gifting.
