STRONG self(ie) is a quarterly subscription box that helps empower young girls to be their best self! There are two boxes to choose from: the BLOOM(box) is for girls ages 8-12 and the BURST(box) is for girls ages 13-17. I have a 14-year-old daughter, who helped me review the BURST(box)!

There were two envelopes inside, one for parents and one for the intended recipient of the box.
There was some info for parents on how to use the included Kindness Cards (shown below).
Next was a product info card showing which core strength each item enhances. STRONG self(ie) hopes to encourage girls with items that promote four self(ie) strengths: health(ie), smart(ie), funn(ie), and beaut(ie).
There were four inspirational cards that you can slip into your daughter’s backpack, place next to her sink, or prop on her pillow.
My daughter received her own envelope. Karina’s card had a little info about the products in her box. She was with me when I picked up the mail and she wanted me to unbox right away, since she loved her last box and couldn’t wait to see what was in this box! The flip side of this card was exactly the same as the flip side of the parent’s card shown above.
There were four Kindness Cards, which are meant to be given away to friends to help make their day.
The backside of the cards had a place to put who the card was for and who was giving the card away.
Both of my daughters were behind me when I opened the box and they both loved this first look. I mean, it’s a whole pillow for goodness sakes! My oldest daughter and I had box envy, we want a pillow like this too! No other packing was needed, the pillow kept everything safe!

Yep, box envy! My oldest wanted the scrunchies, and I want those planner stickers!
First up is the Funn(ie) item. Mermaid Pillow Co. Inspire Mermaid Pillow ($44.99) says that its sequins are champagne colored with white but we prefer the term “rose gold.” This pillow is awesome – you rub the sequins one way for one color, then the other way for the other color! You can even make designs, then erase with your hand! The front of the pillow says “Inspire” in champagne colored ink with splatters and matching piping along the edges. The cover is removable and this pillow is a generous 15″ square.

…and here’s the rose gold side. Look at my pink cell phone reflected in the sequins! This was a huge hit, we were all drooling over this pillow!
The Smart(ie) item was Create 365 Rose Gold Planner Stickers ($5.90). There are 346 stickers to choose from to help brighten up a planner or calendar.
Some of the stickers are shiny and some are matte but they are all adorable!
Karina received a package wrapped in pink tissue paper.
There were two beauty items inside!
The first item is listed under Health(ie). 12 Benefits Instant Healthy Hair Treatment ($7) is a spray-in product that helps add shine, smooth, repair, and do 9 other things to your hair to make it soft and silky. Smells good too!
The next item is under Beaut(ie) – nügg Hydrating Lip Mask ($8.98) is a mask for your lips!
Plus you can take super cool photos of yourself.
The mask features shea butter, coconut oil, and cocoa seed butter and is meant as a 20-minute mask or overnight treatment. The goal here is to help relieve winter dryness, not to replace your regular lip balm.
These last two items are also Beaut(ie) items. Kitsch Wishing Bracelet ($6) has a little cubic zirconia stone on a cotton thread. You make a wish as you tie on the bracelet – when it falls off, your wish will come true!
Messy Hair Don’t Care Velvet Scrunchies (find similar ones here, $4.80) are a neat way to put up your hair, and are fancier than a traditional hair band, yet it elevates your look instantly. The grey and mauve colors are perfect for fall and double as a bracelet.
What an amazing box! Karina really enjoyed each product in her STRONG self(ie) BURST(box) and was so excited when it showed up. It’s kind of hard to get a 14-year old excited for anything other than Chick-Fil-A so this made my heart happy! Each item was perfect for the intended age group and I love that the colors are so pretty without being strictly zebra-striped or pink. Even my 19-year old was impressed with the items. The value was pretty awesome too, around $78. STRONG self(ie) put a lot of thought and care into this subscription and it shows.
