There was a delay in delivering the Sports Crate: MLB Edition action figure from September. It was delivered separately at the end of October. The bonus figure for the Season Pass was received sometime in November.

Sports Crate: MLB Edition includes 5-7 team-specific items and collectibles. NOTE: The September box was the last box for the first season of Sports Crate. It’s now $10 less per month, with fewer items, but impressive brand partners. See all the changes detailed here.

DEAL: Save $2 off a yearly subscription with coupon code SPORTSCRATE2 or 5% off any 3 crate or single crate subscription with coupon code SPORTSCRATE5.

Bonus Figure: Andrew Benintendi Collectible Figure

Andrew Benintendi is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). We received this figure for buying a “season pass” to the box.

The figure comes in 3 parts that can be separated: the figure, a baseball, and a display base.

The figure is fully poseable.

I like how I can move the figure around. The new sculpting techniques give a new definition to the figure’s movements.

Benintendi is wearing the Sox home uniform of white with red piping around the neck and down either side of the front placket and “RED SOX” in red letters outlined in blue arched across the chest, which has been used by the team since 1979.

He is wearing jersey number 40!

September 2017 Figure: Dustin Pedroia Collectible Figure

Dustin Pedroia is an American baseball second baseman for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB).

The latest action figures from Sports Crate has been retooled to have better joint articulation. See Pedroia’s pitching form!

Pedroia is an above-average contact hitter with a very low strikeout rate and “a surprising amount of power,” whose defense at second base has been rated significantly above-average.

He contributed to two Red Sox World Series championships in 2007 and 2013, and he is the only player from the 2007 World Series team still with the club. Pedroia remains under contract with the Red Sox through the 2021 season.

Pedroia is also donning the Red Sox home uniform.

The action figure for the September 2017 crate may have arrived late but better late than never. The new figures are high-quality and wonderfully detailed, we can’t wait to pose and put them on our display cabinet. They worked much better than the originals – but we think they aren’t returning for the next season.
