Five Four Club is a men’s clothing monthly subscription club – sign up, pick a style profile and your sizes, and get clothes every month. The subscription is a $60 flat monthly fee, and traditionally subscribers receive a variable number of items each month, depending on the value of the month’s selections (months with several items usually include a tee-shirt or other lower value item). This subscription ships at the end of the month.
Five Four Club has been shipping clothes in padded envelopes and wrapped in tissue to keep the items neat.

Everything in this month’s box! There were two items in this month’s pack, cool-weather pieces.
Five Four Goldie HCH Cardigans. This cardigan is a great alternative for a jacket. It is a very versatile garment that can be worn in a range of temperatures — an all season piece of clothing that’s layerable and lightweight.
It’s a gray knitted, V-neck style clothing that has a buttoned front. The choice is yours whether to leave it open or all buttoned up. It also has 2 side pockets and a hem with white accents along the cuffs and pockets. It looks casual yet somehow formal — a bit of a mash-up between a Cobain-style cardigan and a Fifties letterman’s jacket.
Five Four Gomez LBL Longsleeve. This update on the classic dress shirt has a structured silhouette made with comfortable cotton fabric. This piece is one of Five Four’s Nick Wooster collaborations.
It’s a blue and white pinstripe design with a classic button down collar. It has a single button cuff and sleeve placket. The big twist with this item is the collar fastener. I think it looks a bit odd worn as is, but it does serve a function when worn with a tie — it holds the ends of the collar snug behind the tie, allowing you to achieve a billowed collar look once the bulb of the knot is cinched up.
The back collar has a button and a locker loop. This long sleeve shirt can be paired with dark colored jeans for a classic look or slacks for formal gatherings. It can also be tucked in a short for a more casual look, just don’t forget to roll the sleeves up!
Five Four is an easy way to expand your wardrobe. You choose your fashion profile, so you get items that fit in with your general fashion sensibility, but you also tend to get items you wouldn’t have thought to seek out. Returns are allowed for sizing issues only – this is not a try-before-you-buy service, but the items are generally such that they will easily find a home in your wardrobe. Five Four does designer collaborations and now offers a la carte pieces in their online store to further leverage your subscription items.
