November’s Degustabox is all about Christmas!

The information sheet provides details of all the festive treats.

Kallo Organic Stock Pots (£1.80) are made with natural, high-quality ingredients. They dissolve quickly in hot water to make an tasty base for soups, stews and casseroles. Each Degustabox includes one of three flavours: beef, chicken or vegetable.

The English Provender Co.’s Caramelised Red Onion Chutney (£1.99) is a sweet and tangy chutney that is perfect for the holiday season. It is delicious as a spread on a turkey sandwich or served on a cheeseboard.

Taylors of Harrogate (£4.49) is an independant family tea and coffee company producing single origin coffee in an intriguing variety of flavours. I received the Cacao Superior Colombia flavour ground coffee in my Degustabox, which I couldn’t be happier about. With notes of chocolate caramel, roasted brown sugar, malt undertones, floral and fruit flavours, this is an indulgent and delicious cup of coffee.

ALO (£1.99) is a premium quality drink made with real aloe vera juice and pulp, cantaloupe and cucumber. Sweetened with Stevia, it is lower in sugar than comparable drinks and only 60kcal per bottle. This is a delightfully refreshing drink. It has a dominent cantaloupe flavour, which I really enjoy, and an interesting textural twist from the addition of aloe vera pulp.

Planters Fruity Chocolate Crunch (£2.00) is a festive mix of peanuts, milk chocolate buttons, jumbo raisins and cranberries.

It’s a tasty classic snack mix with the welcome addition of cranberries for the holidays – what’s not to love? The ratio of all the ingredients was pretty much perfect for my tastes.

The Jelly Bean Factory Super Sours (£1.79) are gelatine free, gluten free and nut free jelly beans in 9 flavours. These are tasty but they are not very sour at all – I would prefer if they are more tart.

Ryvita Rye Multigrain Cakes (£1.39) are made with popped multigrain rye, quinoa spelt and amaranth. They are high in fibre, low in fat and a good source of magnesium and zinc. At only 23kcal and .1g sugar per rye cake, they are a great snack for the figure-conscious. If you like Ryvita and you like rice cakes, then you will like these.  They are nice and crunchy with a tasty, earthy flavour from the rye. They are also perfect when paired with peanut butter!

PROPERCORN Perfectly Sweet Popcorn (£0.89) is hand-popped lightly sweetened with unrefined, Fairtrade sugar. The popcorn is perfectly crisp, light and not too sugary. PROPERCORN is a smart snack choice at only 130kcal per pack, suitable for vegans, gm free, gluten and wheat free.

Dalston’s Fizzy Apple Soda (£1.89) is made with Jonagold, Idared and Bramely apples from Kent. This is a refreshing, lightly fizzy drink with a pleasantly tart taste of fresh apples. I really like this.

Weetabix Additions Apple & Raisin (£2.99) brings flavours of apples, chewy raisins and cinnamon to the classic breakfast cereal. These a really prominent apple flavour with nice added texture from the raisins. The hint of warming cinnamon made this a very comforting breakfast, like a nice alternative to porridge.

Cadbury Picnic Bites (£1.99) are little bars of wafer, caramel, peanuts and raisins, coated in milk chocolate.

hese are a chewy treat that taste like a cross between a peanut butter wafer bar (that’s a Nutty Bar to Americans!) and a Snickers. They are very sweet and quite addictive.

Filippo Berio Classic Pesto (£2.00) is a wonderful jarred pesto sauce. I love this as a simple pasta dish with cherry tomatoes and prawns. It’s also great spread on puff pastry, baked with a bit of mozzarella and sundried tomatoes.

My Degustabox also included a bag of Filippo Berio Fennel & Garlic Crostini, which was not included on the info sheet, are crispy baked snacks with a lovely taste of fennel and subtle touch of garlic.

They are rich from the olive oil but not greasy, and totally moreish. I love the pronounced fennel flavour.

Finally, my box included Rio Mare Tonno all’Olio di Oliva, which also was not included on the info sheet. My husband really enjoyed this high quality tinned tuna in olive oil.

Nothing says Christmas like a giant box of edible treats! I really liked everything in the November box, and I can’t pick a favourite item. The ALO drink was perhaps the most unexpected and pleasant surprise, but all the snacks are really solid options that I would buy again.
