BOXYCHARM is a makeup and beauty subscription box that sends out 4-5 deluxe and full size samples every month. In the past, the items have been mostly full-size products and the boxes have been able to maintain an amazingly high value.

This is the review of the BOXYCHARM Limited Edition Box. This box is now sold out.

All the item info is on the back of the card.

The box is full!

Everything in my BOXYCHARM Limited Edition Box! Nearly everything came in a box, which we have shown here.

Ofra Advanced Vitamin C Cream ($34.50) This SPF 20 face cream contains 8% vitamin C, which helps in lessening skin pigmentation caused by excessive sun exposure. It’s the perfect day cream as it is light and refreshing on the skin. It doesn’t leave any sticky residue, so putting on make-up is also a breeze.

Limited Edition Be Your Own Tarteist Eye & Cheek Palette ($38) Be Your Own Tarteist is a limited edition palette with six matte and metallic eyeshadows plus a full-sized blush in peachy nude.

It comes in a classy and colorful case!

I think this palette is super usable and versatile. However, the colors are kind of a bit boring for using around the holidays. (Ducking!!) I just couldn’t help thinking how I wanted a little more zing from this.

The formula contains Amazonian clay, which makes it blendable and long-lasting even without the toxic stuff.

Here are the swatches! This is actually for everything – eyeliner, Becca, lip gloss, Cover FX, blush, and then shadows.

Sigma Brush E35 Copper Tappered Blending Brush ($17) E35 is a tapered blending brush with long bristles. It’s great for blending colors on the lid and softening the edges of dramatic looks.

All Sigma brushes are cruelty-free!

Becca First Light Priming Filter Face Primer ($18) I love how this primer makes the skin instantly glow while keeping it hydrated. Some primers tend to make the skin feel greasy throughout the day, but this one didn’t disappoint! Ingredients include ginger, mineral-rich spring water, prickly pear flower, and sodium hyaluronate.

It looks like a violet liquid when it’s inside the bottle but the primer actually goes on sheer (Icymi swatch above!). You need to wait for it to settle on your skin before applying make-up, but you’ll be rewarded with a nice dewy glow afterward so it’s okay. It has a nice citrus scent too!

Pur Cosmetics Big Look Mascara ($21) Every makeup junkie needs a no clump mascara. This one actually fits that requirement, but it’s even better because it contains argan oil that nourishes the lashes and leaves a dewy sheen.

The wand is pretty easy to manage, it allows me to apply the mascara smoothly even in the inner corners. It made my lashes look longer and fuller, not to mention jet black!

Makeupgeek Cosmetics Full Spectrum Eyeliner Pencil ($9) Subscribers will get 1 out of 4 shades. I got it in Espresso, a rich coffee bean brown shade with a smooth matte finish.

It’s creamy and well-pigmented, paraben-free and cruelty-free too! This just glides on and is really long lasting. Search above!

Bare Minerals Gen Nude Buttercream Lip Gloss in Popular ($18) A plumping lip gloss with a creamy texture. The coverage is great and it has a yummy vanilla scent.

It has a buttery non sticky texture and made without parabens, sulfates or phthalates. I am not a fan of a nude lip for myself because it looks weird – but it does go with the Tarte palette. I am not sure how those two items match the next!

COVER FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Halo ($42) This liquid illuminator leaves the skin with a soft, pearlescent glow. It can be applied alone using the fingertips or a beauty tool, but for an over-all glow, it’s best to add it on liquid foundation and other skincare products. A little of this illuminator goes a long way, so I think mine will last for quite a long time.

This limited edition box seemed really full! The curation was great as it had a variety of beauty items for the face, lips and eyes, plus a skincare item which is pricey but definitely a worthy addition to the box. I didn’t think that everything necessarily went together but I think that made it easier not to disappoint!

The total value of BOXYCHARM’s first limited edition box is $189 and I think they did a great job! There is still room for improvement in the ordering process though – and I have a bit of a hard time believing that BOXYCHARM really thought they had enough inventory to satisfy immediate demand.

What’s your favorite item in the Limited Edition BOXYCHARM?
