The Book(ish) Box is a monthly subscription of literary inspired items. Every box contains a t-shirt and 3-4 other literary items. The Bookish Box now offers the option to have a YA book included in your box! When you sign up, you’ll have the option to select one of multiple box options.

This month’s theme is Babes and Betrayal. I received 8 items in my subscription box.

DEAL: You can save $3.50 on your first box with coupon code WELCOME or save 15% on your entire subscription with coupon code HELLO.

The first item in this month’s box is an exclusive design from Book Beau. I have never had one of these before. It is a case to help protect your book. I thought that is what paper bags were for. LOL! I like the design. Just the right size for this month’s book. Do you use these?

My next item is a Pride & Prejuduce Necklace created by Bookish Box. It is a silhouette of a woman with a quote from Jane Austen: “after all there is no enjoyment like reading.” I agree, reading can be the most exciting thing one can do. You can go on adventures, fall in love, solve crimes, learn, and time travel. Each book you read can lead you different path. I know I really get into my books.

Next up, an item inspired by Caraval by Stephanie Gerber! It is a small sticker pad to keep notes or mark pages with. It has the phrase “remember it’s only a game” on it.

Also included in the box are button pins. I LOVE button pins. I like the designs I received. I have added them to my collection on my work lanyard. I think I may need a new lanyard soon, I am running out of room.

I was happy to see these prints in the box, they’re from Po Jainter and Doodles by Christina. The print of the woman in the red dress is inspired by Caraval by Stephanie Gerber. It is beautifully done. The character is mesmerizing. The Doodle is inspired by this month’s theme ” Babes & Betrayal.” Both are talented artists.

This month’s shirt was designed with inspiration from the Mara Dyer Series by Michelle Hodkin. After looking over the description of the series, I may just go ahead and read them. The quote on the shirt fits me, “The villain is the hero of her own story.”

If you haven’t tried out the shirts, you should. Make a bold statement for literacy with these comfy and well designed shirts.

I upgraded my box to include the book! This month’s book is bad girls with perfect faces by Lynn Weingarten. I have completely finished this book and it is good. It kept me on my toes. It is about a young girl, her best friend and how far she is willing to go to protect her friend.

When Sasha’s best friend Xavier gets back together with his cheating ex, Ivy, Sasha knows she needs to protect him. So she poses as a guy online to lure Ivy away.

But Sasha’s plan goes sickeningly wrong. And she soon learns to be careful of who you pretend to be because you might be surprised by who you become…

Well, thanks for reading my review. I am off to read more books. Keep reading and adding pages to the story of your life.

Tell me what you thought about this month’s Bookish Box!
