Amazon Prime Purina Cat Food Sample Box is a box full of Purina cat food samples from Amazon for only $6.99, but wait! You get the $6.99 price credited to your Amazon account so you can apply it towards a purchase of Purina cat food, so if you tend to buy Purina cat food online, this box ends up being free! The credit shows up after your product ships and you can see the available products that you can use it on here.

The box was pretty simply packed, no whistles and bells.

I found a card from Purina on top.

The back of the card featured info on how to set up a recurring subscription for pet products at a discount, and also referred to Amazon’s other sample boxes. I have a link to that list at the end of this review!

Everything in the box! I thought there was a good variety of items – three dry cat foods, and 4 wet food items.

Purina One Tender Selects Blend with Real Chicken (84¢) has all the nutrients your cat needs in one product. Chicken is the first ingredient and there are lots of vitamins and other stuff in here. One note: Cats do not need to eat a varied diet, so you may need to ease their transition to a new food by feeding a little less of their current kibble while increasing the amount of the new one. This may take around a week or so to carry out.

Beyond Grain Free White Meat Chicken & Egg Recipe ($1.37) stars chicken as the first ingredient and is a grain-free recipe. Again, a bunch of vitamins and other stuff your cat needs to keep up a healthy system is included.

Pro Plan Prime Plus Chicken & Rice Formula ($1.24) is specifically for cats ages 7 years or older, as a cat’s body has different requirements as it ages. My older cat will be 7 years old next month, so this got me thinking about what I need to do to help her live a long and healthy life. Once again, chicken is the star ingredient, and all the necessary nutrients are inside the bag.

Fancy Feast Broths Classic with Chicken ($1.17) is meant to complement your cat’s diet, as opposed to being their main food source. Poultry broth is the first ingredient, followed by chicken, carrots, and fish. My younger cat loves wet food so she is in for a treat!

There were three cans of wet cat food included. Pro Plan Prime Plus Salmon & Tune Entrée (89¢) is meant for older cats, with salmon and liver being the first two ingredients. Muse Infused Salmon Recipe ($1.29) features salmon as the base of this pâté although I’m not quite sure why cats need their food to be infused with coconut milk. Muse MasterPieces Natural Chicken Recipe ($1.18) is a chicken based pâté and all of these canned cat foods can be served as a meal, although I tend to serve part of a can at one time so my cat won’t eat too much at once. Refrigerate leftovers.

I enjoyed letting my cats try different foods, and they enjoyed eating them! My older cat won’t touch wet food so I’m always looking for something dry that she is willing to eat. They were happy with all the items offered, score! I found these products to have a value of around $8, although those values are based on case prices and larger bag sizes. Remember to use your Amazon credit towards a full-sized Purina cat food product to make this box free!

Haven’t given my cats the cans yet, but they seemed to like all the dry foods. I’ve given them that Purina ONE food before, and they like it, but I’ve found it messes up their digestion – and it gets worse the longer I give it to them (even though I did try to introduce it gradually, mixed with the other Purina ONE I was feeding them). One of my 5 gets terrible diarrhea if I feed her any of the grain-free foods I’ve tried so far. So I used these dry foods as treats – with 5, that’s all these samples were anyway. Like you, I’m starting to think about maybe using some of the senior type foods because 2 of mine are 8 now.

Susan, I understand about changing their diets, one of my cats throws up often and I think it’s related to certain foods. The ProPlan and One were the paws down favorites this month, neither one of my cats cared much for the Beyond. I liked all of them since they were dye-free – the cat vomit tends to stain my carpets. Thanks for reading and commenting and I hope all of your kitties are well!

Since I have mostly hardwood or vinyl flooring, the staining isn’t the problem. Oddly, the cat with the most sensitive digestion is the one whose tummy gets the most upset when I try any of the foods that are supposed to be for sensitive systems. Go figure out cats sometime! Mine have never cared much for Beyond, either, although I don’t know why.
