The Target Art & Craft Kit is a monthly art & craft subscription for kids ages 6-10. You’ll receive a different pre-packaged crafting activity each month shipped from Target for $14.99.

Like the previous months, we received a single commercially available craft kit.

It arrived much like an Amazon package does, shipped in a larger cardboard box with bubble packs.

TIPS: Use your Target Red Card for a discount. Plus, be sure to subscribe to the kit for an additional 5% off!

The Fashion Plates Design Set retails for $19.49 at Target. It is an updated version of the classic activity kit I had as a kid!

This craft kit has everything you need to make various designs using the Fashion Plates. You can mix and match the various plates to make awesome original outfit combos!

Everything in the kit! Paper, the instructions, plates for the head, torso, and body, crayons for rubbing.

It’s pretty easy to use! You just have to place the plates in the tablet, add paper, and rub with a crayon. A special holder is included to hold the crayons sideways for easier rubbing.

To make the drawings even prettier, you can add patterns using the reverse side of the plates.

What makes this activity even more exciting is that kids can mix and match different tops, bottoms and patterns, allowing them to be as creative as they can get.

My daughter will absolutely love this – we are saving it as a Christmas gift, but she saw a similar kit at a book fair and asked for it. It is like the kits that were around when we are kids — simple and timeless, and great for inspiring creativity in aspiring fashionistas!

It’s an awesome subscription to get for the kids, whether they’re already into arts and crafts or you’re just starting to introduce them to such activities. Some of the kits Target sends are gender neutral while some are not. The great thing about it is that you can always look forward to new stuff every month. And in case your kid is not interested in a particular month’s featured kit, you can always save the items for gifting.

Did you grab a Target Art & Craft Kit this month? Let me know what you thought.
