FYI – I haven’t done a review, but we did sign up the kids for it, and they both love it! My son loves the read-to-me function (not for all books but a lot!) and my daughter has been devouring new books like crazy – she’s super motivated by the badges system! They also use this app in our elementary school. We have been using this app since it launched!
Epic! has no ads and offers up to 4 reader profiles per account, which is excellent for families with multiple children. 
The Epic recommendation engine generates book suggestions based on your child’s interest and level.
Plus there’s a badging system to help keep little readers motivated. There are NO advertisements! I love that I can see some books here that I know my daughter will want to read (and estimated time!).
