Box of Thirds is a creative box sent out monthly showcasing artists from all over the world. Your Box of Thirds subscription supports small and independent artists and helps their work gain more exposure. The name Box of Thirds is a reference to the grid you place over a photo when framing the shot, where your point of interest should line up in the middle. Box of Third’s grid is the community that supports the artists, and I love this idea.
This is the October box. Due to some customs delays it took a bit to get here, but it did arrive safe and sound!

This month’s box included five items. There’s a spoiler for November — the land of the rising sun! That means JAPAN! Yay! The value of this box is $64, which is announced at the top of the card.
Everything is packaged really nicely. I love the stickers!
Mystical Cat Sphynx Pin ($9.56) — A spooky looking cat with a crescent moon on its forehead. The artist, Shannon, is from the UK and her pins are all her own artwork.
Fall Soaps ($1.25) — These little soaps are lovely. I love the fragrance, it’s quite layered with top notes of pumpkin, apple, middle notes of ginger, jasmine, cinnamon, gingerbread, and dry notes of amber, rum, vanilla, and sandalwood! The small business is from the US.
Witches Brew Candle ($6.50) — A lovely soy candle with a blend of incense, spices, woods, and florals. Wait until you see the actual candle! Oundle Candles is from the UK.
I love it!!! The wax embellishments will melt with the candle.
Dead Man Bookmark ($25) These 3D bookmarks seem to be all the rage lately! The original designer is from the Ukraine. I got the Harry Potter one in another box so it’s cool to see another version. This one is a bit too macabre for me but the art is amazing.

Halloween Stickers ($4.50) — Adorable stickers to decorate cards, notes, or planners! These are non-removable and matte so you can write on top of them.
Box of Thirds was a really fun box to open. However, I calculated the retail value of all of the items and came up with $46.81 which is a good $20 less than the retail value on the information card. The subscription will cost you $38.95 monthly and while shipping within Singapore is free, shipping internationally is anywhere from $1-10 depending on location. I did a checkout with my address and shipping to Canada is $9.50. That makes the value meet the cost of the box pretty closely. I really liked the curation and thought the Halloween theme was super cute. I’m obsessed with the candle and will be burning it full-time!
