This month’s theme is Balance. All the pieces this month are a reminder to bring balance to our practice and our life in this seasonal transition, like Mother Nature balances periods of light, warmth and growth with period of darkness, coolness and rest.

At the back of the card, there’s a list of the items.

All the items in the box. The jewelry comes in little organza drawstring bags.

Everything in the box! The colors are rich and nice!

Balanced Mala ($49). This month, we received a dressier mala than we are use to! The pearl beads (they are glass beads, maybe acrylic, not real pearls) brings light to calm and purify our spirit, while the hematite beads, heavy and dark bring well needed grounding and protection.

The blue beads are Agalmatolite, which is a vague name for any type of carving stone such as Steatite, Talc, Soapstone, Pyrophyllite, but it has a nice color and pattern. This is a very light mala!

Autumn Inspired Bracelet ($32)The beads are so tiny!!! And this bracelet will fit most wrist size with it’s adjustable chain! We have Red Tiger Eye beads, a powerful balancing and grounding stone that brings the extremes, emotionally or spirituality, to a middle ground! There is no information about the other beads, but I would think that the red stone (with the hamsa charm) is Red Jasper (helps manifesting creative ideas while it helps balancing all the chakras by rising the Kindalini energy), and the light brown beads with the red tassel are probably Picture Jasper (helpful for meditation and balancing our energy with the Earth).

Larks Fine Foods, Coconut Butter Shortbread Cookie ($2.50)Coconut shortbread cookies with rum (yum!). They contain eggs and butter, so not vegan. They don’t crumble as easily as other shortbread, and the hint of rum is very subtle. I can taste some coconut pieces.

Next month’s will feature a Grounding Necklace with red jasper pendant for the Gratitude theme.

This month’s box wasn’t one of my favorite, probably because I don’t really care for pearl glass beads. The bracelet was lovely though, and I appreciate that it was an adjustable bracelet so it can better fit wrists than elastic ones.
