Sports Crate: MLB Edition is the newest member of the Loot Crate family and the first sport from Sports Crate. This monthly box includes 5-7 team-specific gear, collectibles, and more in every box for $39.99 per month. The subscription lasts the length of the season.

NOTE: This was the last box for the first season of Sports Crate. It’s now $10 less per month, with fewer items, but impressive brand partners. See all the changes detailed here.

We selected the Boston Red Sox box. The subscription currently offers a choice of 10 MLB teams, but the number may grow next year.

All of the MLB items in the crate are officially licensed, complete with logo and holograms on the packaging. We also received a certificate in our first box to welcome us and assure us of the authenticity of the contents.

DEAL: Save $2 off a yearly subscription with coupon code SPORTSCRATE2 or 5% off any 3 crate or single crate subscription with coupon code SPORTSCRATE5.

The theme this month is “Finish Strong.”

There’s an invite to download Home Run Derby for free. I don’t really recall getting an activation code.

And if this is your first MLB crate, you’ll receive a code for a month free access to MLB TV.

You could also win a VIP experience, meeting your favorite players on the field!

The information sheet guides you through this month’s inclusions.

There’s a delay in delivering this month’s action figure. It will be delivered separately at the end of October. We received email notice about this as well.

Everything in the September crate!

Topps Andrew Benintendi Trading Card

Some stats on the back – and it comes in a nice little sleeve. We’re not sure yet if Topps will be part of Season 2.

Red Sox Lanyard

This lanyard is pretty snazzy with a sewn on design. It’s not your standard repeater either – this is perfectly centered on the nape of the neck.

The keychain part of the lanyard also unclips making it super handy (and still branded!).

American Needle Red Sox T-Shirt

A great classic Boston logo! This shirt is nice and soft and definitely got a thumbs up from my husband – he wore it the very next day!

Red Sox Stadium Apron: This apron is constructed from a nice thick cotton canvas and isn’t flimsy. Unfortunately ours had a printing/cutting error. As soon as I noticed it, I emailed it and within half an hour it was acknowledged with my replacement on the way.

And on the body is our beloved Green Monster! Nice little view of Fenway Park over Landsdowne! I bet everyone is as happy with their park design as we are with the Sox!

My feelings on this box are pretty much the same as last month: I wish they hadn’t had so many problems with shipping because the items that I have been receiving are some of the best quality items I have come across in the past couple months. They rounded up some really great brands and I am already looking forward to the December holiday crate! We will post again with updates on the figures.

UPDATE: We just received the sports figure, plus a bonus season pass figure!

Dustin Pedroia Collectible Figure

The latest action figures from Sports Crate has been retooled to have better joint articulation. See Pedroia’s pitching form!

Bonus Season Pass Figure: Andrew Benintendi Collectible Figure.

I like how I can move the figure around. The new sculpting techniques gives a new definition to the figure’s movements.
