The Men’s Health Box is a quarterly subscription box service curated by the editors of Men’s Health magazine. The box costs $89.99 per quarter, and promises a “kickass box of curated products” worth more than $150.

The box is always stuffed to the top with products. Usually they have no room for packing material — the lid was actually bowed outward a bit from the amount of stuff inside!

Men’s Health definitely packs a ton in every box. It’s all curated with self-improvement as the goal — but they include items related to fashion and grooming, as well as health and fitness.

The information card lists everything in the box, giving a brief description and approximate value. The box promises to deliver goods relating to fitness, grooming, fashion, tech, and food/nutrition – little colorful icons show which category each item represents. I’ve found that there is typically one Tech item and multiple items for each of the other categories — 16 total items in the box!

Everything in my Men’s Health Box this quarter.

Harry’s Travel Dopp Kit ($25) A water-resistant travel pouch.

Its exterior is made of cotton-nylon and sports the Harry’s mammoth…

…while its interior has waterproof lining with a cool globe-trotting pattern.

Roomy enough to pack toiletries and other essentials, but also sufficiently compact to include in your carry-on baggage.

Harry’s Face Lotion ($8) Lightweight and a bit minty. It’s SPF 15 and, unlike regular lotions, doesn’t leave any greasy residue on the skin.

The size is great for travel. Everything we need to know about the product was indicated on the label too. The sun-resistance is provided by zinc oxide, so it doesn’t suffer the short shelf-life, quick deterioration and stingy qualities of chemical-based sunblocks.

Harry’s Face Wash ($7) Contains volcanic rock, eucalyptus, and peppermint. It leaves the skin feeling fresh and hydrated, making it a good one to include in a wake-up regimen. Great for pre-shave too.

Blowfish Hangover Tablets ($12) A hangover remedy recognized by the FDA.

Just drop 2 of these tablets in a glass of water to make a refreshing “goodbye hangover” drink. Of course, you have to take it the morning after your drinking spree. One box contains 12 tablets — a combo of caffeine and aspirin. We have yet to try if this is effective, but it claims to treat hangover symptoms including headaches, dehydration, fatigue and impaired mental function.

Munk Pack Maple Pear Quinoa Oatmeal ($25 on card, $13.79 for a six-pack on Amazon) Packed with oatmeal, fruits, ground flax, quinoa, and maple syrup.

No need for a spoon or for hot water, just squeeze it from the pack and your healthy breakfast is good to go. It’s vegan, whole grain, and gluten-free too!

Organic Prairie Mighty Bar ($4) Not your ordinary snack bar. This one is made with grass-fed organic beef, augmented with cranberries, sunflower seed, and spices. It packs 8 grams of protein per bar.

The texture is surprisingly pleasant — not too dry, not too greasy. I’m always looking for a snack that isn’t too carb-centric, so I wish they sent us more of these!

Also included in the box is a $1 off coupon from Mighty Organic.

Organic Valley Protein Fuel in Vanilla ($3 on card, $3.50 on Amazon) Made with organic milk and flavored with vanilla, this drink is ideal for post-workout recovery.

It’s also Kosher, gluten-free, lactose-free, non-GMO, and soy-free. Its yummy taste is just a bonus! It is certified organic and uses cane sugar for the sweetener.

Another coupon code, and this time it’s a $6 discount for Organic Fuel drinks.

Rainer Cooling Towel ($18) You just have to wet this microfiber towel and wring it with your hands for maximum cooling effect. It’s such a useful gym companion! Draping it around the back of my neck makes me feel like I’m in the NBA!

Ansel Leather and Canvas Belt ($50) An extra sleek belt in navy, with a brushed gunmetal buckle mechanism.

It’s made using canvas with microfiber backing. The outside looks like a woven belt, but the core is a super-dense rubberized plastic material.

There’s a helpful instruction card showing the operation of the ratchet and release mechanisms.

Yup, it doesn’t have holes — only a gunmetal buckle. But there’s no need to worry because it’s adjustable and you can still find the right fit. That lever on the right is the quick release lever.

Looks good! It has a very sleek look and can be trimmed for svelte guys.

Made In Nature Mangoberry Figgy Pop ($2 on card, $4.99 online) These vegan bites are great for on-the-go snacking.

Ingredients include organic mangoes, apricots, golden berries, oats, seeds, coconut, and spices.

I like how soft and flavorful these are! The nuts and seeds aren’t too crunchy, and they avoid being either overly sweet or gummy like some date-based bars can get. Really good balance of flavor.

Clean Coffee Company Pacific Highlands Ground Coffee ($14 on card, $14.99 online) A medium-dark roast ground coffee grown without pesticides, chemicals, or toxins.

This aromatic coffee is high in anti-oxidants and low in PH levels, perfect for those who are sensitive to acidity.

More information about clean coffee is provided on a card.

FresheTech Air Lock Bag Sealer ($30 on card, $15.95 on Amazon) A small yet powerful device for the kitchen.

It can be used to seal or reseal anything, from bags of leftover food to packs of chips and cookies. It’s rechargeable, and definitely convenient to bring to picnics and beach trips.

Two hours of recharging equals to thousands of bag seals. Amazing!

Fulton & Roark Soap ($16) This smells so good, thanks to Moroccan red clay, eucalyptus, sage, and black spruce oils.

It’s triple milled soap, which means it will last not just for weeks but for months. It is very dense and incredibly fragrant. I didn’t notice any grittiness from the clay.

United By Blue Merino Wool Trail Sock ($14) These super soft wool socks come with thermal regulation. Naturally odor resistant too!

It’s the perfect pair of socks for hiking, but also ideal for everyday use in the winter.

Feetures Elite Light Cushion No-Show Tab Sock ($16) A pair of technical socks specially designed for sports and exercise.

It has a patented Sock-Lock Technology that targets compression for maximum comfort. Wicking tech keeps the feet dry and prevents blisters too. The sock is shaped to fit each foot while minimizing seams, slack, and other irritating features of ordinary socks.

SKLZ Jump Rope ($15 on card, $14.64 on Amazon) The classic exercise implement is great for footwork and coordination exercises.

It has ergonomic padded grips and an adjustable rope length.

Our quarterly haul from Men’s Health has almost everything — from fashion and grooming to fitness to tech to food and more. It’s like getting a variety of subscription boxes in one go. According to the card, our Fall 2017 box is $259 in value, but after checking prices on Amazon it totaled $188 (excluding coupons). Overall, this subscription is definitely worthy of purchasing, whether for yourself or as a gift. It has a fitness focus, but the products are always useful for anyone — they avoid sending specialty supplements and other niche items, keeping to stuff every man could easily incorporate into his routine.
