The 2017 Lego City Advent Calendar is available now. The Lego advent calendar is one of the year’s most anticipated calendars and contains 24 different items including 6 minifigs behind closed doors – open them one by one as you head towards Christmas Day!

Don’t delay if you want a calendar! This calendar sells out faster than you think it will.

Santa deftly explains how the calendar works, in Lego style.

A winter village scene from our window, with train tracks on the floor, and a nice stone path outside.

It’s super easy to pop the the toy out from the window.

Here’s the first one!

It’s a Lego toy train! I like how they included an illustration on how to put the pieces together right underneath the window – it avoids spoiling the next surprise.

He poked and popped another! Look what he got!

That’s 2 out 24 and it’s a…

…Lego Snowboarder! He adores this one!

The Lego pieces are placed inside a small plastic bag.

It takes just a few minutes to build the little winter village day by day.

The Lego City Advent Calendar includes 6 mini-figures: a Santa, a grandma, a snowboarder kid, two coast guard members, and a jungle explorer. It also includes seasonal items for a more festive feel.

The little Lego winter village is almost ready! Loging grandma in the back with her cookies, but we all had our faves.

The snowboarder kid is asking some help from the coast guard member… (no we don’t understand why it’s a coast guard member either, we’ll just go with it?)

…while the jungle explorer is doing his ice masterpiece.

Santa needed help, good thing the coast guard is there to give him a hand!

They included different air vehicles too!

This year’s Lego City Advent Calendar had a fun and festive feel. Our little builder is happy with this box, and it sure made all of us nostalgic. FYI, this calendar has an inexplicably large number of extra pieces – way more than you find in a regular Lego set (which sometimes may only have 1-2 extra pieces). Just go with it!

that being said, it will probably sell out in a couple weeks, they did sell out last year quite early.
