Fit Snack is a monthly subscription box delivering healthy nutritious snacks directly to your door. Every month, expect 7-10 full-size items plus samples of delicious and healthy snack foods. Fit Snack curates its boxes according to the following criteria:

  • Each product always containing two or more of the following: GMO-free, high in protein, low in sugar, gluten free, organic, raw, vegan and all natural.
  • Plus, we add in bonus items such as energy boosters, nutritional supplements, or refreshing beverages.
  • Finally, we find a little space for exclusive workouts, workout gear or other active lifestyle inspiration.

Here’s a look at everything in the August box. While there’s a couple of items I’ve seen before, there’s a lot of new snacks to try out, so I was super excited.

DEAL: Save $3 on your first box! Deal applies automatically, just visit and subscribe.

Each month, Fit Snack includes a helpful information card. One side of the card has information about the products – such as a snippet about the snack and the company’s website, and often times a coupon code.

The back of the information card includes a workout. Based on my experience reviewing Fit Snack boxes for a number of months, they do a nice job of rotating through different types of workouts – from cardio, to strength, and now posture.

Everly Drink Mix: Everly is a drink mix to flavor your water with less of the unhealthy stuff that you find in a lot of drink mixes and it’s sweetened with stevia. I was happy to see this item because it makes pitchers, not bottles, of water – we prefer pitchers in our house. The berry flavor of this was pretty tasty.

Kala Beautiful Beans Snack: I wasn’t sure I would like these, but it turned out to be one of my favorite items in this box! The salt & vinegar flavor was perfect – tangy salty goodness – and the roasted beans are super crunchy.  Plus, since it’s beans, there’s a good amount of protein in these snacks. Yum!!!

Purity Coffee Beans: I don’t generally consider coffee a snack, but I am a coffee junkie, so I’ll classify this as a good box item for me. Pure organic coffee without the bad stuff. It made a nice cup of joe!

Raw Bite Fruit & Nut Bars: These bars, like so many now, are made simply of fruit and nuts. I liked the vanilla berry flavor combo and the chewy texture. Perfect for a pre-run or afternoon snack.

Nutiva Chia Seed:  I have been interested in adding some chia to my diet…so this product was a happy surprise.  I wouldn’t consider it a snack necessarily, but I’m going to use it to make chia puddings and sprinkle in my oatmeal.  I also threw some in my smoothie.

Rickaroon: I’ve had Rickaroons before and I love them. As the company advertises, they are energy bars that taste like dessert! Delish! This one, coconut dark chocolate, is particularly yummy – it’s like eating a Mounds candy bar (but way better for you).

Whole Grain Corp. Wheat Snacks: These crunchy little wheat snacks weren’t my cup of tea, but they are definitely salty and crunchy. Even though I didn’t like them on their own, they were pretty good for adding a bit of crunch to a salad.

Dark Dog Energy Drink: Fit Snack often includes “bonus” items in their boxes – you can tell these by the green leaf sticker… like at the top of this picture. I’m not a big fan of energy drinks, but I know lots of people are… these from Dark Dog seem to be made from some good stuff, like coconut water.

I liked this month’s box – I found a new favorite snack (Salt & Vinegar Kala Beans) and got to try something I’ve been wanting to (Nutiva Chia Seed). Also, the ratio of not-really-a-snack to snack was pretty low… which made me happy. In previous months, I’ve been disappointed with the number of items that weren’t really usable as snacks – but this month was good.
