First off, there are multiple ways to buy Bear Naked granola, including their standard pre-made blends. But they have nothing on this chef-created granola!
BacoNanas Granola and Beer & Bacon Granola. These are the cutest little cans!
The packaging is just adorable.The cans are closed with little bits of tape and have a fun story about the bear on the front. I’m not sure if specific bears are associated with certain flavors or granola bases, as the can itself doesn’t say anything about the flavor it contains.
Beer & Bacon. A label on the side gives the name of the granola – the granola base, plus the seasonings & mix-ins. You can also customize your own blends on the Bear Naked site (or even re-make your fave from the curated picks!).
The inside is a resealable bag with complete ingredients as well as the blended on date. This granola is beer and bacon flavored, but it contains no alcohol or meat products. We received our granola TWO DAYS after it was made, and it’s so good.

The Beer & Bacon granola combines a honey granola with cinnamon, pale ale flavorings, and sweet bacon sprinkles! This blend includes both ground flax (hello fiber!) and soy protein isolate for added protein power. The seasoning is really potent, but it is absolutely delicious. The pale ale isn’t particularly hoppy — the granola isn’t bitter at all and is quite sweet, with the beer flavor adding a bit of maltiness and an herbal quality. The bacon isn’t overpowering or overly smoky, so it makes for a really great combo.
BacoNanas! is a chocolate granola mixed with banana chips and sweet bacon flavored sprinkles, along with a dash of sea salt to help bring out the flavors.
The amount of mixins is incredible and for the price, you get a lot of super high quality granola. This blend doesn’t have the soy protein, but it does have ground flax plus oat bran.
You can see some large chunks of dried banana in the mix. The banana is really an accent, with the big flavor coming from the combination of the sweet cocoa encrusted granola, the red sea salt, and the sweet bacon flavored crumbles (like bacon sugar).
BacoNanas! really fires on all cylinders. There’s chocolate, salty, sweet, bacon, bananas — something for every craving.

Bear Naked is hands-down the best tasting granola I’ve had. I love their gourmet flavors – even when they sound weird, they ended up being utterly delicious. The texture is wonderful, crunchy, yet tender, and no hard bits at all. Similarly, it is toasted perfectly, with no raw oat or burnt notes. Even the added soy protein, flax, and other healthy additions are completely hidden within the wall of flavor. It is very sweet, so it might not suit those who like to punish themselves with granola, but it is perfect for those seeking a sweet snack or yogurt topper that won’t break your teeth.
