Everything in this box!

Our new pal Dean joined our family (and our older dog Lindy) this summer!

The Puppy Place Buddy By Ellen Miles  – The Puppy Place is a series of books where the writer, Ellen Miles, gives different personalities to each dog that the Peterson family fosters.

The book doesn’t have any illustrations, but the story is fun enough to get the kids interested. Our kids were SO pumped about this book!

The back cover gives a summary of what’s inside the book. Every family is going to have a different experience with their dog.

Be A Dog’s Best Friend: A Safety Guide For Kids By Renee Payne & Jennifer Gladysz This book is a manual written in the voice of a ten-year-old girl named Emma, who knows a lot of information about how to safely interact with dogs.

This is a really interesting book!

The inside pages are in black and white, and there are lots of illustrations that accompany the guidelines. There are tips on how to properly take care of dogs, as well as the do’s and don’ts of being a dog-owner. We can’t tell the kids this enough – their toys all look like like puppy toys to Dean!

My Dog A Kids’ Guide To Keeping A Happy & Healthy Pet By Michael J. Rosen

“A primer, an owner’s manual, a field guide, and more, My Dog! is the complete book for every child who has a dog―whether it’s a brand-new puppy or adopted mutt, or a beloved pooch who’s been in the family for years. And it couldn’t be more kid-friendly, with its customizable cover (paste in a picture of your dog), tabbed chapters, and a pull-out dry-erase dog care chart.”

The book is “the manual that didn’t come with your dog.” It includes guides to different dog breeds, dog care chart, and write-in pages where you can keep track of your dog’s activities.

The book is spring-bound, so it’s easier to turn the pages.

Here’s a guide for your dogs by a K-9 coach. It’s presented with a question followed by the answer for easier understanding.

Here are the pages that feature different dog breeds! This is a fantastic and heavy duty resource for teachers and shelters to share with prospective dog owners, or families looking to add a dog to their family or just wanting to know more about dogs.

Pablo Puppy’s Search For The Perfect Person By Sheila Hamanaka This book is about a puppy looking for the perfect owner, and an old shelter dog whom the pup turned to for a few pointers on finding the perfect person.

It is a good book to educate children and introduce them to a dog’s care and needs.

The pages are colorful and glossy!

The story is so heartwarming, it’s a tribute to the special relationship between the young and the old. Our kids loved the happy ending!

The My Puppy Teachers, Family and Shelter box is a great box for new dog owners! The books are really helpful to know the do’s and don’ts of being a dog owner. The books are child-friendly too and can be used to introduce them to our canine friends. This box is so great because particularly great for families because older kids will absolutely devour the information and help teach the younger kids (and parents too! We needed a refresher!) about everything we need to know about our new puppy.
