Send Me Swooning August 2017

Here are the items in the August Send Me Swooning Box. Lots of romance in this month’s box!

The Day of the Duchess by Sarah MacLean

The Day of the Duchess: Scandal and Scroundel III by Sarah MacLean ($6.79 on Amazon + value of signed copy, publish date June 27, 2017) is a tale of heartache, romance, and second chances. Amazon describes it as…

The one woman he will never forget…

Malcolm Bevingstoke, Duke of Haven, has lived the last three years in self-imposed solitude, paying the price for a mistake he can never reverse and a love he lost forever. The dukedom does not wait, however, and Haven requires an heir, which means he must find himself a wife by summer’s end. There is only one problem—he already has one.

The one man she will never forgive…

After years in exile, Seraphina, Duchess of Haven, returns to London with a single goal—to reclaim the life she left and find happiness, unencumbered by the man who broke her heart. Haven offers her a deal; Sera can have her freedom, just as soon as she finds her replacement…which requires her to spend the summer in close quarters with the husband she does not want, but somehow cannot resist.

A love that neither can deny…

The duke has a single summer to woo his wife and convince her that, despite their broken past, he can give her forever, making every day

THE DAY OF THE DUCHESS

I can see why Sarah MacLean is a New York Times bestselling author. I have not finished reading it yet, but the story tugs at my heartstrings.

How exciting! The book is signed by Sarah MacLean. I did not find the book cover coaster that has Day of the Duchess cocktail recipe on it as described in the information card. I decided not to contact Send Me Swooning because I already have too many coasters from subscription boxes.

Dandi Creations Pink Berry Soap Tart

The Made in Pennsylvania, USA  Dandi Creations Pink Berry Soap Tart (5 oz, appx $7.00 based on the soap cake slices) has a delicious aroma of strawberries, raspberries, pomegranates, sparkling cider, citrus fizz, and mimosa.

Do Not Eat!

My eight-year-old son was disappointed to find out that the delectable-looking goat milk soap tart was not edible.

The soap tart is a work of art full of detail. I love receiving luxury soaps in subscription boxes! I will be using this soap while relaxing in the tub reading my book.

Flippy Clip Lip Balm Holder

My eight-year-old has nicknamed my purse ‘The Shark’ because everything sinks to the bottom including lip balm. The handmade in Central Florida, USA  Gabriel’s Good Tiding LippyClip Lip Balm Holder ($15.99, on sale for $9.59) will make it easier for me to find my lip balm.

Lip Balm

Send Me Swooning thoughtfully including their favorite lip balm to put in the Flippy Clip Lip Balm Holder. The Made in Oregon, USA Honey Lip Balm by Maggie’s Bath House ($1.95) has honey and bee wax in it. My lips felt softer after using it. I hope  to see the Loofa Lollipops in a future box.

‘Zad Bangles

The gorgeous ‘Zad Bangles (appx $5.00 – $10.00 a piece) adds a bit of romance to any outfit.

‘Zad jewelry has been featured in numerous magazines and Tv shows including Woman’s Day, Redbook, People StyleWatch, The Today Show, and even on Keeping up With the Kardashians.

I received two complementary colors.

My sister graciously modeled the bracelets for me. She also fell in loved with them and will be keeping them.

Lady Be Bad by Megan Frampton

We also received a second book that happens to be named one of Amazon’s Best Romances of the Month. Lady Be Bad: Duke Daughter Book 1 by Megan Frampton ($5.98 on Amazon, published date July 25, 2017) is the first book of the Duke’s Daughters Series. Amazon describes it as…

Once upon a time, a duke had five daughters who never made a stir. They practiced their French, their pianoforte, and their dancing…until one ran off with the dancing instructor, and the rest were left to face the scandal.

Lady Eleanor, the Duke of Marymount’s eldest daughter, knows the burden is hers: she must marry well to restore the family name. So a loveless match is made and her fate is set. But then Eleanor meets her intended’s rakish younger brother. With his tawny hair, green eyes, and scandalous behavior, Lord Alexander Raybourn makes her want to be very bad indeed.

With his very honorable sibling too busy saving the world to woo Eleanor, Alexander is tasked with finding out her likes and dislikes for his elder brother. But the more time he spends with the secretly naughty Eleanor, helping her tick off all the things on her good list for being bad, the more he knows what they want, and need, is each other.

I can’t wait to read about the star-crossed lovers.

I loved the items in the August Send Me Swooning Box and hope they continue to showcase Etsy artisans. My family will be using everything in the box. I can’t wait to finish reading August’s book selections.
