For September the spotlight was on HANA Organic Skincare, which is handmade in the Pacific Northwest.

At HANA Organic Skincare, we offer products for just about every skin type, and we make sure that each one is as clean and pure as your face deserves. We believe in using only the finest organic/biodynamic ingredients that are as close to their natural state as possible. Each product is handcrafted with only good intentions for your radiant health and well-being.

The back of the introductory card listed each product, its retail value, and how to use each item. I like that Pearlesque also includes their own #pearltip for the products.

Everything in my September Pearlesque Box!

Luxe Serum ($60) ” A true pampering oil, formulated for all skin types especially mature, dry and combination skin.”  This was the only full-sized product this month, but what a value!

Jojoba and apricot oils are the skin savers here along with various essential oils. It left my skin very soft and absorbed quickly.

Gentle Toner ($7) has a rose hydrosol base, which I prefer over the often found witch hazel in other natural toners. Aloe vera gel, vegetable glycerin, ylang ylang, and lavender & lemon essential oils are the other all-natural ingredients. Spray the toner on clean skin and then apply the serum. You can also spritz the toner on as a midday touch-up.

I was very impressed with the Gentle Cleanser ($7). I prefer to use an oil based cleanser as a makeup remover, but then I always follow with a cleanser. This mix of rose hydrosol, Castile soap, jojoba oil, and geranium & neroli essential oils was watery but I managed to shake some into my hands and then rubbed them together to get a bit of suds going. It removed every last bit of makeup!

Eye Oil ($18) is a pared-down version of the Luxe Serum, and has a similar look, smell, and feel. Just a drop was needed to help both of my eyes and I hope to see an improvement in their appearance, but at the very least I feel like I am preventing further damage in the long run.

HANA Organic Skincare was a new-to-me brand and I am so happy I got to give it a try, thanks to Pearlesque! The toner was very soothing, as was the eye oil, while the cleanser was one of the best natural cleansers I have ever tried. I appreciate that the toner was free from alcohol and witch hazel (which is often distilled in alcohol). The value of September’s box was $92! I am always blown away by the value and the fact that Pearlesque sends full sized items along with very generous travel sizes.

Head’s up: October’s Pearlesque Box will feature items from True Moringa! So far a body scrub and whipped body butter have been announced and I can’t wait, I love body products!
