Loot Crate DX is a deluxe monthly subscription box from Loot Crate. It’s themed with the regular Loot Crate theme, except it contains premium next level loot for discerning geeks! It’s like a special edition box from Loot Crate – every month!

DEAL: Use code HELLOSUBSCRIPTION to save 10% – $5 on your first box or even more with a longer subscription!

A quote in the bottom of the box! This one’s obvious.

The box comes with a tri-fold booklet. The theme this month – KINGDOM!

The information card gives you a list of all the items in the box. It’s super sturdy and has a nice premium feel.

All the Loot Crate DX goodies this month!

FYI – this box came really late – mid September.

August 2017 Loot Crate DX Kingdom Pin

I have to say that I like the style of this pin – although I’m a thumbs down on the unbranded pins – especially in DX.  This pin doesn’t feel especially premium or next level especially when compared to pins over the last year or so.

Legend of Zelda Master Sword Layered Long-Sleeve Tee

This layered-look shirt features Link’s sword.

Loot Crate Edition Labyrinth Poster Book

This book contains 40 posters (unfortunately front and back so you can only really get 20) from Labyrinth: The Ultimate Visual History. [Please do Dark Crystal next – I promise it’s not repetitive!]

Everything from character and costume sketches…

to concept art…

And film stills.

My three year old was Baby Toby last Halloween!  My husband did not look just like Jareth 🙂

Dragon Age Inquisition Copper Mug

A great little Dragon’s Age logo on the front of a standard copper Moscow Mule mug.

Bottom’s up!

Dungeons & Dragons  Demogorgon Figure

From Loot Crate’s own figure line, which is a hit (except for the September Core Crate).

Well, the Demogorgon is plenty ugly and brutal. He’s 7.5″ tall with long tentacles that help balance him (them?) upright.

I feel corrupted already.

The flowing hair is neat. Wonder if anyone’s ever thought of doing hair like Barbie?!

I think the way this figure stands up is cool – and a total hit for D&D, mythology, and Stranger Things fans!

I think the figure was a great concept and everything in the August DX box was solid – but nothing wowed me. Would I have been wowed by a King’s Quest shirt? Yes. (Sorry, I’m on a campaign for King’s Quest goodies.) Would I have been wowed by a full book (like in the first crates) instead of a double-sided poster edition? Yes. Licensed pin? Maybe I dunno… GAME OF THRONES? Yes. I really need DX to be my wow box of geekness and I don’t think it was there for me in August.

What did you think of Loot Crate DX this month?
