Doki Doki is a monthly Kawaii subscription box from Japan Crate. Every month you’ll receive super cute Japanese items – accessories, stationery, plushies, and other adorable Japanese goodies.

DEAL: Use coupon code HELLO to save $3 on your first box!

Love this cover art this month!

The theme this month is Happy Home!

There’s also a little comic and more fun stuff!

The middle of the booklet contains all the information about the items.

Everything in the September Box!

Animal Plushie Blankie – It’s not just cute, it’s dual purpose too! When folded, it is a cuddly plush toy and when laid out, it is a cozy blanket!

Subscribers will receive 1 of 6 animal designs. We got the Llama!

This blanket is super soft! Plus, it’s easy to fold up and store anywhere you’d like. Even when you spend hours cozying up with it, cleaning up is just a breeze.

Kumamon Pitcher – Kumamon is the official mascot of the Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan and a fun Japanese kawaii character.

The pitcher is transparent so you can easily see what kind of beverage is inside.

It’s ideal for everyday use or for serving special drinks when friends and relatives visit!

Kumamon Microfiber 2-Piece Cloth Set – These are multi-purpose cloths, ideal for cleaning up various surfaces or items around the house.

Since it’s made with microfiber, it’s super absorbent and also reusable (as long as properly used and maintained)!

We were super duper confused when our almost 3 year old grabbed the pitcher and the cloths and took them downstairs but kind of shrugged our shoulders. Ten minutes later my husband caught him with a tub of country time gleefully repeating “MAKE MEMONADE!” We mixed up a pitcher and it turned out to be the perfect container for quick drink mix!

Hoppe-Chan At Home – This month, Hoppe-Chan shows us her happy home.

It’s as cute and tiny as she is! Love the daisy!

Hello Kitty Toothbrush Stand – A kawaii and fun way to organize toothbrushes at home!

It’s made with plastic, so it’s safe when compared with using ceramic toothbrush holders.

And anything with Hello Kitty on it just gets instantly cute!

“You have a way of brightening my day!” That’s for sure Hello Kitty!

You can store up to 4 toothbrushes on this container. And they are nice big holes perfect for fitting modern sized toothbrushes.

Kiki’s Delivery Service Toothbrush – Speaking of toothbrushes, here’s a really cute one featuring Jiji, a pet cat from the famous Studio Ghibli film.

The packaging was written in pure Japanese. From what I can tell this is a baby toothbrush, for 6-12 months. (See this packaging)

This adorable toothbrush will make it easier to convince you to brush your teeth often!

Strawberry Tea Infuser – A lovely gift for tea lovers!

You just have to fill it with loose tea leaves and hang over a mug of hot water. It can also be used for making iced tea!

As always, Doki Doki Crate is overflowing with cuteness! What we really like about this subscription is that they send high-quality, useful, and mostly licensed items. If you’re a family who loves Japan and anything kawaii, this would be an ideal box for sharing. And, just because my kids tend to decimate this box (my almost 9 year old daughter grabbed the toothbrush & toothbrush holder along with Hoppe-Chan) doesn’t mean that it’s not fit for kawaii-loving adults. Everything just brings a touch of adorable to your day!

My first Doki Doki Crate arrived today, and I also got the llama blanket! (I’d love to see the owl… I wish there were a forum to trade/exchange items…)

I was a bit underwhelmed by the Jiji toothbrush because, as an adult, I cannot use it; I admit that the inclusion of a Jiji item is what finally convinced me to try this subscription.

I will stick around for October’s Creepy Cute theme because of the cat ears/mitts, but I hope it’s better than this one. (I can use the blanket, tea infuser, and toothbrush holder, but I’m giving the Kumamon pitcher and cloths to my sister to take to her office.)
