The Collectors Case is a geeky mystery box shipping from Canada. This box is super cool because you have a chance to receive a mystery POP Vinyl or a celebrity autograph! There is typically a theme for the month.

The production of this box is top notch – the branded kraft paper is thick and smooth, and looks so professional!

The info card includes all the items you’ll receive. You also have a chance to receive a bonus Pop vinyl or an autograph! The Sure Thing version of the box guarantees an autograph.

This month’s theme is Jay and Silent Bob — Jason Mews and Kevin Smith. I love Clerks and Dogma the most of their films, but honestly this theme is going to be a riot either way. Fun Fact: A lot of this merch is sold at the Secret Stash, the comic book store owned by Kevin Smith himself in NJ.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back Minimates ($19.95) — We were sent similar Minimates a few boxes ago. I love how detailed these are. The Jay figure even comes with another headpiece without the ninja mask, which is cool.

Bluntman Cap ($24.99) — Bluntman and Chronic is a story within a story, a fictional comic series set in the universe where most of the movies take place. It’s a soft pleather cap with squishy Batman-like ears on it. I think it’s super cute!

Pop Pins Flash ($3?) — At first I thought this was a rather random inclusion but Jason Mewes guest-starred on an episode of Flash, and the episode was directed by Kevin Smith!

Scooby Dum Pop Vinyl ($12.99) — One of the Funko Specialty Series, Scooby Dum is the real random selection of the month! He is Scooby Doo’s cousin.

I like his hat!

Bluntman and Chronic Glass Tumbler ($9.99) — Another official piece of merchandise! This one comes in a really cool box so I’m actually going to give this to a friend of mine as a Christmas gift.

Mine has Chronic on it. I love how the box says “Only available at Mooby’s!” (A Dogma reference)

Clerks Trading Cards ($5.99 per pack) — The trading cards for Clerks are a lot nicer than other trading cards I’ve seen. They’re designed with a minimalist feel and some have a flashy gold foil detail.

Clerks is the first film that Jay and Silent Bob appeared in. It’s one of my favourite movies.

Jason Mewes Autograph — Yeah, I admit when I saw this peeking out from the bottom of the box, I yanked everything out of the box to get a closer look. The chance for an autograph in the regular box is pretty low, so I got very lucky! Jason has signed a photo of him and Kevin in their superhero alter-egos and there’s a certificate of authenticity saying it was signed at Calgary Fan Expo just this past April!

This was hands down the most fun box to open! It is definitely a specific themed box and not as broad as the themes normally are, so if you’re not a fan of the View Askewniverse you probably wouldn’t enjoy it. Additionally this box is probably not as family-friendly due to the content of the franchise (even if the items are innocuous enough). But for a fan, it was a great box and I think the value is also extremely impressive. Plus I got an autograph for the first time… I’m a happy girl!
